Job Summary

The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator creates, manages and evaluates education/training programs and services, develops related goals and objectives, recommends policies, and evaluates program outcomes. All educational offerings provided by the Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator should primarily be based on the Cognitive, Humanist, and/or Brain-Based Learning Theories. The role of the Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator may include, direct patient/family care, consultation, change agent, teaching/coaching/mentoring, research, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development. This role is also responsible for coordinating clinical experiences for nursing students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree required; Masters of nursing preferred
  • A minimum of four years of clinical nursing experience is required.
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC), or specialty certification preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
  • Experience as a clinical instructor,
  • Experience facilitating academic partnership programs.
  • Experience developing educational curricula, simulation-based learning, and competency validation programs.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives utilizing evidence-based practice.
  • Strong project management, presentation, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
