At The Salvation Army, we're looking for an Administration Support to join our Mission Portfolio Operations Team. You'll play a vital part in supporting programs, services, and initiatives that help strengthen communities and transform lives across Australia.
About the role
As our Administration Support, you'll be the backbone of day-to-day operations, providing comprehensive administrative support across the Mission Portfolio. From coordinating meetings and events to managing correspondence, finance administration, onboarding activities, and office operations, you'll ensure our teams have everything they need to succeed.
No two days will be the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration, and delivering exceptional support.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this is a permanent full-time position, (permanent part-time negotiable at 0.8 FTE), based on-site at the Territorial Support Office in Blackburn, VIC.
Conditions
Compensation is in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 2.
How you will make an impact
- Coordinate meetings, events, travel arrangements, and accommodation bookings
- Prepare professional correspondence, presentations, agendas, and meeting minutes
- Support finance processes including invoice management, reimbursements, and data entry
- Assist with onboarding new team members and maintaining office resources
- Manage databases, records, reporting, newsletters, and general administration activities
- Build strong relationships across teams while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of your work
What you will bring
- Certificate III in Business Administration (desirable) or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in administration, office coordination, or business support
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and various business systems
- A collaborative and positive approach to working with others
- The ability to proactively solve problems and adapt to changing priorities
- A current VIC Employee Working with Children Check
