About this Admin & Facility Coordinator role at Fuse
About Fuse
We are building one of the most potentially consequential companies of the century. Our mission is to accelerate the world's transition to fusion energy while safeguarding humankind. This is not a normal company. This is not a normal job. We are committed for the long term to win.
About the Role
You'll keep Fuse's Albuquerque facility running day-to-day — from the front door to the supply closet to the loading dock. This is a hands-on, entry-level role supporting a working radiation effects testing site. You'll keep the administrative and facility details on track, coordinate visitors and vendors, and support day-to-day operations of the facility. You'll work directly with the Operations Lead of ABQ Facility and the site's engineering, physics, operations and safety teams.
What We Value
Obsess about the details — sloppy work costs us later, so do it right the first time.
Care — pick up the trash. Do things no one asks you to do. Go the extra mile because you care.
Act with urgency — every hour matters more than it feels like it does.
Be responsible for the outcome, not just the task; if it is not working, it remains your problem until it is fixed.
Assume good intent — disagree openly, then commit fully once a call is made.
Core Responsibilities
Maintain strong situational awareness across the facility — know what is happening, who is coming and going, and what has changed.
Anticipate needs, surface issues early, and keep the team informed without waiting to be asked.
Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, mail, shipping/receiving, and general office upkeep.
Coordinate facility maintenance and vendor visits with the facility team and outside vendors.
Manage visitor and guest logistics, including badges, escorts, conference rooms, and site orientation.
Support new-hire onboarding, including workspace setup, equipment ordering, and first-day coordination.
Maintain facility records, including safety, maintenance, and visitor logs.
Support scheduling and calendar coordination for the Head of ABQ Facility and site team as needed.
Track and reorder consumables and PPE with the safety team.
Support meeting and site-visit setup and maintain common areas.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant administrative, operations, hospitality, or facility experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills and follow-through — you keep track of a lot of moving pieces without dropping any.
Comfortable interacting professionally with visitors, vendors, and government customers.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn basic safety and access-control procedures specific to a regulated facility.
Proficiency with standard office software (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in regulated, secure, government, defense, or other high-accountability environments.
Experience coordinating facility vendors and contractors.
Familiarity with safety, security, and visitor-control procedures.
Additional Requirements
This is not a remote position and will require relocation if not already local to Fuse's Albuquerque, NM facility.
Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
Position may require some business travel to other Fuse facilities.
Physical Requirements
Able to stand or sit for extended periods during operation.
Able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
