Under limited supervision, provide mentorship, training and development of the AP Merchandise team. Resolve issues related to accounts payable functions.  Perform routine responsibilities to assure smooth, accurate department operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate workload and monitor team member productivity.

• Coach, train, and mentor staff while setting an example of the O'Reilly Culture.

• Provide feedback to Supervisor regarding progress and performance of team members.

• Oversee invoice entry and payment process for replenishment merchandise for distribution centers.

• Conduct training of team members in a timely manner.

• Assist with maintaining written procedures of all department functions.

• Work with Supervisors & Manager to identify team members who are ready to take on more responsibility. Ensure that suppliers and other departments receive exceptional customer service.

• Lead resolution of AP discrepancies of all types.

• Attain sufficient systems knowledge to query and research program related problems. Identify process changes and improvements and make recommendations to Supervisor.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, email, 10 key by touch and keyboard Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment

• Excellent customer service, organization and communication skills

• Must be able to work independently and make decisions that are within the Accounts Payable procedure guidelines. Be reliable, have good attendance, be a team player, and maintain a positive attitude.
   

Desired: 

• 2 years prior Accounts Payable experience
