The Accounting Manager will own and support key accounting operations, including accounts payable, accruals, payroll, accounts receivable, revenue, fixed assets, inventory, and general ledger activities. This individual will help build scalable processes, systems, controls, and automation to support a growing manufacturing environment. The role will partner closely across the business to provide accounting guidance on capital expenditures, operating expenses, inventory, and manufacturing activities while improving reporting accuracy and close efficiency.

How You Will Contribute

Accounts Payable

  • Partner with business stakeholders to review purchase order coding, account classifications, and departmental assignments for accuracy and completeness.

  • Oversee vendor invoice processing, approvals, and payment readiness while helping maintain clean, well-documented AP records.

Accruals

  • Establish and maintain monthly accrual processes to ensure expenses are recorded in the appropriate period.

  • Identify received-not-invoiced goods and services and develop support for recurring and one-time accruals.

Payroll

  • Review payroll changes, benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, and other recurring inputs to support accurate payroll processing. Prepare journal entries and reconciliation.

Accounts Receivable / Revenue

  • Support accounts receivable activities, including customer invoicing, cash application, and collection follow-up as needed.

  • Reconcile AR and revenue accounts and help resolve billing, payment, and accounting discrepancies in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Fixed Assets

  • Apply and maintain the company’s fixed asset capitalization policy.

  • Track construction-in-progress activity, coordinate with stakeholders on project status, and ensure timely capitalization when assets are placed in service.

  • Maintain depreciation methods, useful lives, and fixed asset reconciliations.

General Ledger

  • Maintain chart of accounts, departments, and other reporting dimensions to support accurate financial reporting and business analysis.

  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Systems

  • Leverage finance systems and automation tools to enhance close efficiency, strengthen data quality, and improve the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting processes.

What You Will Bring

We keep our must-have requirements focused. We value strong accounting fundamentals, hands-on ownership, sound judgment, and the initiative to build scalable processes in a fast-moving environment. Domain-specific experience will help determine the appropriate career level for each hire.

  • Strong systems orientation, including experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite & Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the organization and with external partners.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, hardware, or inventory-intensive business, including exposure to fixed assets, capitalization policies, and operational accounting workflows.
