What’s the job?
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of month-end journals and reconciliations across various areas, including banking, revenue, receivables and other financial statement line items as required.

 

You will also assist with other month-end and quarterly tasks, including the preparation of disclosure packages and analytics.

Day-to-day accountabilities:

  • Preparation of timely and accurate journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assistance with preparation of supplementary monthly and quarterly close deliverables.
  • Assistance with periodic internal and external audit requirements.
  • Assistance with ad hoc financial requests as required.
  • Adherence to internal control (SOX) requirements, including maintenance of critical reports and spreadsheets.

This is a 12-month fixed-term position located at our Surry Hills, Sydney Campus.

 

Who you are

  • A Bachelor of Accounting or a similar qualification.
  • Experience in finance month-end close processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity and strong business ethics.
  • Advanced Excel (would be an advantage).
  • CA or CPA designation (would be an advantage).
  • PeopleSoft (would be an advantage).
