What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Commercial Insurance professional to join our Complex Risk team to help in managing an established core book of first-generation accounts, along with exciting new business opportunities - encompassing multi-national, cross-border and a wide variety of types of business and coverage lines. You will be working directly with the team that originated and continues to grow this book of business, meaning that you are the type of person who wants to work with people who like to work hard and strive for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer experience
• Demonstrates good technical insurance knowledge of coverages
• Follows Hub Service Guidelines
• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by supporting Account Executive and Marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
• Acts as primary Customer Service Contact in the absence of Account Executive
• Responds to customer requests, submits information to appropriate insurance companies and binds coverage where appropriate
• Attends Critical Path meetings; follows up on action items required by Account Executive or Servicer
• Prepares proposals, rate sheets, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards
• Processes all documentation according to Hub workflows
  • Certificates of Insurance
  • Summaries and Proposals
  • New Business, Renewals and Endorsements
  • Premium Finance contracts
  • Invoicing
• Attaches all documentation into EPIC
  • client instruction and bind orders
  • instruction to marketing team and related information
• Assists Account Executive with managing Account Receivables
• Reviews and manages account reconciliation with Accounting Team
• Reviews and prioritizes all assigned tasks on a daily basis including company mail, emails, activities
• Maintains accuracy of electronic files that may be housed in EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange. CSR24 and physical files as per agency standards
• Reviews and ensures accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
• Continues professional development in order to develop skills and knowledge
• Protects HUB from E&O
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Level 2 General Insurance License
• Excellent customer service skills
• EPIC, Policy Works, CSR24 and Certificate Exchange experience an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Typing speed of at least 55 wpm
• Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
• Accounting experience is an asset

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
