About this A&R, Tamil role at Sony Music Global Job Board
As our A&R, you'll be the ears on the ground for Tamil music- predominantly discovering raw talent, shaping them, and turning promising artists into the next big names on our roster completely built on trust and creative intuition. This role is at the heart of everything we do, because the artists we sign and develop directly fuel our catalogue, culture and SME India’s growth.
What you'll do:
- Scout, discover, build and nurture emerging Tamil music talent across live gigs, college fests, social media, and independent releases
- Collaborate with artists on song selection, production, conceptualization and creative development to curate releases
- Work closely with various business teams – like marketing, digital and legal to plan release strategies, maximize artists’ reach and execute agreements on time
- Track artist performance and response post-release, use data & insights to guide future signings and strategy.
Who you are:
- 2 to 4 years of experience in A&R, music production, artist management, or a related role within the music industry. Experience within the Tamil music ecosystem is preferred

Postgraduate degree preferred in relevant field
- Key Skills: A&R and talent scouting, artist relationship management, strong organizational and communication skills, cross functional stakeholder collaboration, project coordination
- Strong understanding of the Tamil music landscape and emerging talent
- Interests: Passion for music and entertainment industry, strong awareness of music consumption trends, audience behavior and market opportunities
