The TIAA Wealth Management & Advice Solutions – Licensed Rotational Program is engineered to compound your growth at every stage. You'll rotate through client-facing organizations, such as the National Contact Center, Retirement Solutions, and TIAA Wealth Management & Advice Solutions – each one deepening your business acumen and sharpening your understanding of TIAA's enterprise strategy. Your rotations are shaped by business needs, your emerging strengths, and the career path you're building toward.
By the time you complete the program, you won't just understand wealth management –you'll have lived it from multiple vantage points, with the licenses and relationships to prove it.
Over two transformative years, you'll move beyond exploration into ownership – building the licenses, skills, and client-facing expertise that define top wealth management professionals. This is a client-facing, fast-paced, high-growth experience designed for one purpose: to prepare you for a defining career at TIAA.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Earn all required licenses and registrations (Series 7,63,65, and 66, Life and Health Insurance License (multiple issuers, resident state)) within 120 days
- Build deep understanding of the financial services industry, the regulatory landscape, and TIAA's competitive position
- Sharpen your communication and relationship-building skills in real client conversations
- Shadow tenured professionals across client-facing roles to observe excellence in motion
- Complete role-specific and program-specific training that prepares you for a variety of client-facing responsibilities
- Deliver excellent client service that drives real outcomes and operational excellence
- Work consultatively with clients to understand their goals and match them with the right TIAA products and solutions
- Field inbound client calls, providing education and, in certain roles, advice on investments, retirement planning, and retirement income
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, deep curiosity, drive, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for client service

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior participation in TIAA's Summer Internship Program
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration capabilities through coursework, internships, research, projects, employment, or extracurricular activities
- Overall GPA of 3.0 or better
The rotational program consists of four individual rotations, across the two years following an intentional format to shape a progressive learning experience.
Rotation 1: Licensing
Your journey starts with foundation-building. Within 120 days, you'll obtain your Series 7, Series 66, and applicable life and health insurance licenses—the credentials that unlock every client-facing opportunity ahead.
Rotations 2 - 4: Where Your Path Takes Shape
This is where the program comes alive. You'll rotate through licensed organizations across TIAA's business, gaining hands-on skills and real client exposure that will define your career trajectory.
Rotations May Include:
- National Contact Center – Where you’ll master the fundamentals of client consultation—fielding inbound calls, guiding participants through retirement plans, investment choices, and income options, and building the communication instincts every great advisor needs.
- TIAA Retirement & Advice Consulting – Step into the role of Individual Financial Consultant, delivering real retirement education and advice, growing client assets, and owning the client experience from first call to lasting relationship.
- Wealth Distribution – Partner with Wealth Management Advisors as a Client Relationship Manager, deepening client relationships and helping grow the practice through referrals and tailored financial solutions.
- Client Growth & Retention – Serve as a Client Retention Consultant, working at the critical intersection of client trust and business outcomes—resolving questions, educating clients, and positioning the right solutions at the right moment.
- TIAA Wealth Management & Advice Solutions COO – As an Associate Financial Planner, craft high-quality, compliant financial plans that support client-facing advisors and consultants—gaining a front-row seat to how strategic planning translates into real client outcomes.
- Wealth Chief Investment Officer – As a Portfolio Analyst, provide licensed investment and analytical support to Portfolio Managers, conducting economic, market, and industry analysis while gaining direct client exposure through portfolio reporting, trade execution, and client meetings—rare access to the analytical engine behind client strategy.
Get a Head Start—and Get Rewarded for It
Completing your SIE exam before the program begins is not just a requirement that helps prepare you—it pays you. The earlier you complete it, the bigger your sign-on bonus:
- $6,500 — SIE completed by March 1st
- $6,000 — SIE completed by April 1st
- $5,500 — SIE completed by May 1st
- $5,000 — SIE completed by June 1st

2026-10-06Base Pay Range: $28.22/hr - $35.53/hrActual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
