Job Description

Seeking an Off Cycle Intern for the BEFM Valuation team (BEFM Valuation), which will primarily be responsible for the review of the valuation of investments .

Responsibilities

In this role, the Off Cycle Intern will be an integral member of BEFM Valuation in Luxembourg focusing on the review of the valuation material produced by the relevant Blackstone valuation teams. The Off Cycle Intern will have the opportunity to participate in an array of projects and will be expected to participate in all activities as described below:

• Supporting the team with regards to the review of valuations of investments portfolio

o Reviewing the investment committee memo and calibrations

o Reviewing the third-party valuation reports and the internal valuation material o Document investment valuation review at fund level

• Net asset value: responsible for reconciling the investments portfolio with the NAV

• Supporting the preparation of the management information for the Management Committee meetings and Board Meetings

• Other general administrative tasks

Qualifications & Skills

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.

• Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CAIA a plus)

• A prior experience (as intern) within relevant financial services industry (e.g. Private Equity, Real Estate, Banking, Investment Management, Audit/Advisory) is a plus

• Strong knowledge and technical skills in financial analysis and/or accounting

• Familiarity with a range of valuation approaches (e.g. Income, Market)

• Analytical and quantitative skills, highly organized

• Efficient team player with resourceful mindset

• Ability to produce creative, compelling, detailed reporting materials

• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required

• Strong appetite to use technology

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, strong time management skills, and attention to detail
