Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Component Test Lab (CTL) Production Planner & Scheduler or CTL Production Planner & Scheduler to support Eastern Region Manufacturing in Dulles, VA.

In this role, you will help to ensure CTL items are processed in accordance with specifications and meet required schedule commitments. You will collaborate closely with program planning and supply chain teams to provide clear visibility to work-in-process (WIP) status throughout the program lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coordinating and moving work in progress (WIP) as required to meet production needs, monitoring and reporting schedule performance, participating in daily and weekly meetings in support of program and production objectives as well as tracking calibrated equipment and acting as a backup to Electronic Component Work Center (ECWC) Planners.

 

Responsibilities include:

• Works directly with the Operations Program Managers (OPMs), Quality Assurance, Planners, Test Engineers, Work Center manager(s), etc
• Moves hardware between the CTL1 and CTL2
• Moves hardware between the Electronic Component Work Center (ECWC), Box town, and the CTL
• Organizes hardware with the associated Test Procedures
• Updates Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as required
• Keeps track of Engineering Ground System Equipment (EGSE) certifications
• Supports the ECWC daily meeting with status of card level testing   
• Releases and monitors product build operations in Sync Manufacturing
• Requests kits and parts
• Fulfills part requests
• Ensures change notices, deviations, etc., are incorporated into builds and documented correctly
• Maintains schedule need dates
• Communicates roadblocks between management and CTL Technicians
• Acts as a back-up to the ECWC/SMT Planners

Associate Component Test Lab (CTL) Production Planner & Scheduler

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with an additional 4 years of experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Ability to read an engineering drawing and parts list
• Possess a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
• Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to react quickly to people and situations
• Process needed documentation
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be detail oriented
• Have a basic knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, test, procurement, quality basics, and/or engineering flows
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in production planning and scheduling
• Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement, quality basics, and/or engineering flows
• Reasonable knowledge of Circuit Card Assembly and Box level testing
• Experience working in the Space industry
• Proficiency in Costpoint or SAP, MRP, MES Solumina, and Windchill
• Self-directed, proactive
• Maintaining the ability to be on call as needed for emergency parts or kit requests

 

Component Test Lab (CTL) Production Planner & Scheduler

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience or high school diploma with an additional 6 years of experience or Master’s with 0 years of experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Costpoint and Windchill
• Ability to read an engineering drawing and parts list
• Possess a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
• Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to react quickly to people and situations
• Process needed documentation
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be detail oriented
• Reasonable knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, test, procurement, quality basics, and/or engineering flows
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of recent production planning scheduling experience and/or knowledge
• Experience working in the Space industry
• High proficiency in Costpoint or SAP, MRP, MES Solumina, and Windchill
• Self-directed, proactive
• Working knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement, quality basics, and/or engineering flows

Primary Level Salary Range: $57,300.00 - $85,900.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $69,000.00 - $103,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
