About this 1st shift Sample Maker - (Commercial) role at Tarkett
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Process, make and ship samples accurately while meeting production standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Put up Sample Stock.
- Run labels, Label Samples and pull Sample Orders.
- Bevel Carpet.
- Must enter shipments into SAP.
- List and restock returns; Unpack boxes and sort samples.
- Pull tile boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and stack on pallets for vendor shipments.
- Must pull, pack and ship the required number of parcels per shift.
- Other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack.
- Must be able to drive a Stand-Up Lift Truck.
- Must be able to type.
- Must lift and move tile boxes weighing 50 lbs.
- Good reading and math skills.
- Basic Computer skills (SAP).
- Must work flexible hours.
- Must have good communication skills and must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to work in and operate a high lift.
- Must have had no written warnings (for any reason) in the last 18 months.
- Must be willing to complete a 90 day probationary period.
