The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

System Administration
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
Perform system upgrades, patching, kernel updates, and security hardening.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and logs.

Server & Infrastructure Management
Manage physical and virtual servers
Configure storage solutions, file systems, and backup/restore procedures.
Handle network configurations (DNS, DHCP, NFS, FTP, SSH, firewalls).
Ensure system reliability, uptime, and disaster recovery readiness.

Security & Compliance
Apply security policies, vulnerability fixes, and compliance standards.
Conduct regular system health checks and security assessments.

Troubleshooting & Support
Diagnose and resolve server, network, and application issues.
Work with cross-functional teams (network, storage, applications).
 

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
2–6 years of relevant Linux administration experience (customizable).
