What you'll be doing

You’ll join CIBC’s Savings, Investing & Advice team as a Senior Consultant, Business Effectiveness, where you’ll provide specialized advice and expertise related to the successful management and operations of the portfolio. In this role, you’ll lead and manage moderately to highly complex initiatives that enhance and evolve processes, products, and services. You’ll use sound judgment to assess complex issues, research relevant data, and develop thoughtful recommendations and practical resources to move work forward. You’ll analyze business situations using in-depth evaluation and insight, often in areas with limited precedent, and present roadmap updates, risks, and recommendations to business partners and senior leaders. You’ll also bring forward innovative ideas, champion CIBC’s values, and support high-quality outcomes that align with broader business objectives.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

Lead the development of effective executive material, business management activities, and process improvements that strengthen effectiveness and support the business.

  • Insight and reporting - Provide reporting, analytics, and meaningful business insights to support decision-making. Monitor progress, identify trends, and recommend solutions to address business growth and improve outcomes.

  • Employee engagement - Consult with team members to build the overall approach for the business relating to the employee survey and action plan, set up committees and ensure they operate effectively.  Foster relationships and collaborate with key team members to ensure we are providing the right level of service to our leadership team and business partners.

  • Communication - Excellent verbal and writing skills to effectively articulate ideas and opinions and deliver clear and concise presentations.

Who you are

  • Your influence makes a difference. You know that relationships and networks are essential to success. You inspire outcomes by sharing your expertise.

  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don’t. Your critical thinking skills help inform your decision-making, and you’re able to quickly understand complex issues and adapt to evolving business needs.

  • You give meaning to challenges. You bring strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and you can assess situations, develop solutions, and take action within tight timelines while working with a wide range of partners.

  • You embrace and advocate for change. You continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best. You communicate clearly and confidently across all levels of the organization and build productive relationships across teams and business groups.
