SOFTWARE ENGINEER PRINCIPAL

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
The Software Engineer shall be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tools and Services in support of the Atlassian’s suite of products (such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) collectively known as SUBURBANDEVELOPMENT. The Software Engineer shall work closely with cross-functional teams including software developers, system administrators, project managers, and mission customers to deliver seamless integrations that enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Principal must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 8+ years of related experience

● Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Position Required Skills

    Proficiency with the Linux command-line interface (CLI)
    Strong scripting experience (Bash, Python, Groovy)
    Recent Java software development experience in Linux environments
    Experience developing with the Spring Framework
    Proficiency in modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
    Experience with containerization technologies including Docker
    Experience with Apache Velocity
    Experience with OpenSearch
    Experience using the Atlassian plugin SDK, to create and extend the Atlassian suite of applications 
    Experience creating documentation of configurations, procedures, and system changes
 

Position Desired Skills

    Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools
    Experience with IaC principles and automation tools such as Ansible
    Experience with Cloud technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $175,950 - $238,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
