What You’ll Do:

CoreWeave is seeking a Global Mobility Lead to help build and operate a scalable global mobility program for a rapidly growing, globally distributed workforce. Reporting to the Director, Global People Operations, you will own the operating model for immigration, relocation, and cross-border employment, while serving as a trusted partner to People, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders.

This is a highly visible and impactful  staff-level role: you will translate complex immigration and mobility requirements into clear decisions, repeatable processes, strong vendor governance, and an excellent employee and candidate experience. You will also lead and develop one Global Mobility team member as the function scales across the US, EMEA, and APAC.

About the role:

Program strategy and governance

  • Help define the global mobility strategy, service model, policies, escalation paths, and decision rights across immigration, relocation, and cross-border work.
  • Establish a consistent framework for assessing business need, legal feasibility, employee experience, cost, risk, and timing.
  • Build operating rhythms for case reviews, vendor governance, stakeholder updates, audits, and leadership reporting.
  • Advise People leadership on program priorities, capacity, risk tolerance, and investments required to support international growth.

Immigration and work authorization

  • Oversee immigration case intake, triage, approvals, filings, document collection, status tracking, and employee communications across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Partner with external immigration counsel and regional providers; for US matters, coordinate with Fragomen and ensure cases follow CoreWeave’s approved workflows.
  • Create clear playbooks for sponsorship, visa transfers, amendments, business travel, permanent residence, work authorization verification, and employment changes.
  • Ensure immigration decisions and communications are consistent, timely, well documented, and appropriately escalated to Legal or executive stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong controls around start-date readiness, work location, right-to-work verification, and changes that may affect immigration status.

Relocation and cross-border employment

  • Own the operational framework for domestic and international relocations, including eligibility, approvals, vendor coordination, offer and relocation letters, payroll handoffs, and clawback administration.
  • Partner with Legal, Tax, Finance, Payroll, and People Business Partners on cross-border moves, entity considerations, permanent-establishment risk, compensation, benefits, and local compliance.
  • Develop guidance for remote work across borders, temporary assignments, business visitors, transfers, and other mobile-worker scenarios.
  • Ensure the employee’s work location, effective date, immigration requirements, and relocation commitments are aligned before a move is finalized.

Process, systems, and analytics

  • Build scalable workflows across Workday, Greenhouse, Asana, case-management tools, and vendor platforms; define system ownership, data standards, and handoffs.
  • Maintain accurate global mobility trackers and reporting, including case volume, cycle time, spend, aging, outcomes, escalations, and upcoming compliance milestones.
  • Identify opportunities to automate intake, status updates, document collection, employee communications, and leadership reporting.
  • Establish documentation, controls, and audit-ready records for immigration and mobility processes.

Stakeholder partnership and team leadership

  • Serve as the senior subject-matter expert and escalation point for People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders.
  • Partner with recruiting and hiring managers early enough to assess sponsorship, relocation, and work-location requirements before offers are finalized.
  • Deliver clear, empathetic communication to employees and candidates navigating high-stakes immigration or relocation processes.
  • Coach, prioritize, and develop the Global Mobility team member; create clarity on ownership, service levels, and quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with global benefits, payroll, EOR, immigration, relocation, and local-market partners.

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration, international HR, employment operations, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing US immigration programs and coordinating with external immigration counsel.
  • Experience supporting cross-border employee moves, relocations, work authorization, business travel, or international employment changes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience designing or improving operational processes, controls, documentation, and service-level metrics.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, escalations, and sensitive employee data.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or directly managing at least one team member.
  • Ability to assess complex, incomplete information and make practical, risk-aware recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain legal or operational complexity to non-specialists.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating global mobility programs across the US, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Experience supporting a high-growth technology, infrastructure, or multinational organization.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Greenhouse, Asana, Fragomen Connect, or comparable HR and immigration systems.
  • Experience with mobility vendors, EORs, global payroll, tax, benefits, or relocation partners.
  • Professional certification or relevant graduate-level study in immigration, global mobility, human resources, employment law, or a related field.
