What you will do:

As a Senior Engineer at TJX India, you will work with a team that partners with the EDA Data Foundation team and delivers products for one or more customer analytics product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end data engineering solutions on Snowflake and Azure Data Lake

• Design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using ETL (Talend), Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake

• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs and implementations.

• Drive performance tuning, cost optimization, reliability, and scalability of data pipelines.

• Collaborate with data, analytics, and visualization teams to deliver high-quality data products.

• Develop and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation.

• Support solutioning efforts across design, testing, and implementation phase.

• Ensure data governance, security, and privacy standards are embedded into data pipelines.

• Contribute to data modernization initiatives by defining patterns, standards, and best practices.

• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve data engineering capabilities.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications):

• At least 5 years in-depth, data engineering experience and execution of any ETL (Talend/ Datastage) data pipelines, scripting and SQL queries 

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Azure cloud environment with Azure Function, Azure Databricks, Azure Event Hub, Azure Event Grid, Azure data lake, Azure Data factory

• A minimum of 1 year of experience on hands-on coding in python and/or Pyspark on Azure Databricks environment
  3 years of experience working in Agile and Scrum frameworks

• Good knowledge of Data warehousing and ability to understand star schema

• Work experience in relational database and hands-on on writing SQL queries, stored procedure extensively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in ETL (4+ years) for implementing large scale Data Engineering projects

• Experience in Data Engineering and DevOps knowledge

• Experience in programming languages like SQL, Python / Pyspark, Shell Scripting and Scala.

• Experience in Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps and Spark platforms

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
