Role Overview
The position
- As our Salesforce Developer you’ll play a vital role in delivering projects to improve and enhance the way our teams use Salesforce. Your main role will be to use your technical skillset to implement and take ownership of all programmatic requests for our new Salesforce.com (Sales & Service, Experience and other) Cloud based projects, with a particular focus on Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations.
- You’ll also work alongside our team of Technical Product Managers, Solutions Architects to deliver projects and work closely with our Administrators, collaborating on projects and supporting them with technical advice and assistance. You will also be helping to ensure the quality of any deployments and advising and mentoring other team members on best practice.
The position

Who are you?
You are an experienced developer who has worked on multiple Salesforce Cloud projects. You have experience delivering programmatic solutions across user interface, background automation and to support integrations.
You have holistic experience across the platform and are happy to use non-code solutions where they are more suitable. You’re happy collaborating with the wider Salesforce team and working on cross-functional projects together. You also have experience working with business stakeholders, meeting with them to clarify requirements and communicate your proposed solutions.
You are experienced with agile and scrum methodologies and using deployment tools to support the release management process across multiple sandboxes, in addition you can support the rest of the team on this.
What will you do?
Your primary activities include (but are not limited to):
- Collaborating with the Salesforce Administrator and Solutions Architects to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits),
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Visualforce*, (based on specific requirements) to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements,
- Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce* pages/Lightning pages, Aura Components and LWC,
- Integrations: Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used by the organization.
- Best Practices: Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write / maintain test classes for all custom development.
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code,
- Integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce.
- Collaborating with IT / Developers for other systems in order to integrate across the business,
- Supporting the Salesforce Administrators & Architects.
- Responsible for updating technical documentation and adhering to DSDLC & GxP expectations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required -
- Salesforce Sales/Service and Experience Cloud product knowledge and at least 5+ years of Salesforce development experience,
- Able to work independently,
- Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with business stakeholders / other Salesforce team members.
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II , Platform App Builder
- Proficient with Salesforce development lifecycle and environment strategy.
- Experience implementing and developing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Java.
- General web development experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript.
- A proactive attitude to Salesforce enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices.
- Ability to write, interpret, and feedback technical specifications.
- Experience working with large data sets and bulkification.
- Proficient in Salesforce Agentic capabilities, and AI implementations within the CI/CD and development pipelines
- Soft skills: the ability to gather requirements and present and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
Desireable
- Additional Salesforce certifications e.g. Certified Salesforce Administrator, JavaScript Developer I, Agentforce Specialist, Architecture or Integration Architect
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, professional qualification, or relevant experience.
- Competency in other languages / development (XML, Flex, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, C++, SOAP-based web services.
- Demonstrates continued personal/professional development.
- Active in the Salesforce community.
