This role will be based in Brussels, Belgium.
Your mission
Reporting to the Head of Independent Partners BeNe, you’ll join the Belgian Sales team and play a key role in delivering our ambitious mission. Together with the Head of Independent Partners, you’ll shape and execute our sales strategy in Belgium, while leading and inspiring the team to grow our community of partners committed to fighting food waste.
Your role
Management & Sales
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing team: Leverage your sales expertise and knowledge of different methodologies to help each team member reach their full potential. You’ll continuously coach, mentor, train and support the team of 7FTE to drive peak performance.
- Onboard and develop new talent: Lead the onboarding of new Sales Specialists, identify development needs and create meaningful opportunities for growth.
- Build a strong team culture: Foster collaboration, cohesion and open communication while creating initiatives that motivate, engage and inspire the team. Next to that you are part of the BeNe Leadership team and co-responsible for driving culture in both markets
- Drive continuous improvement: Maintain high sales performance through ongoing training, coaching and feedback.
- Support individual growth: Help team members develop their skills through coaching, mentoring and side projects aligned with their areas of expertise.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance: Proactively spot areas for development and put tailored coaching plans in place to help team members succeed.
Structure & Strategy
- Shape our outbound strategy: You have full responsibility for managing and running the sales team for the entire country. Work closely with the Head of Independent Partners to develop a strong, consistent and scalable outbound sales strategy.
- Build and manage the sales funnel: Set up and optimise (AI) sales funnels, using key metrics such as lead volume, conversion rates, new saving stores, sales cycle and call performance to identify opportunities and drive action.
- Turn data into action: Analyse team performance and develop clear action plans to optimise people, tools and processes.
- Share and implement best practices: Collaborate with global teams to identify successful approaches from other markets and adapt them for Belgium.
- Develop better tools and processes: Partner with Global teams to build and implement efficient tools that enable the sales team to perform at its best.
- Raise the bar: Anticipate future opportunities and challenges, continuously looking for ways to improve performance and raise the bar for yourself, the team and the business.
Requirements
- You have solid experience in sales and people leadership, ideally across different sales environments and methodologies, giving you the perspective needed to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
- You genuinely enjoy being close to the action, you do call coaching and regularly accompany your team in the field to support and lead by example.
- You have a strong understanding of what motivates individuals and know how to inspire a team to achieve ambitious goals.
- You are fluent in English. You are also fluent in either Dutch or French.
- You have experience developing and executing a sales strategy, ideally within a scale-up or fast-growing business.
- You are commercially driven, comfortable working with ambitious monthly targets.
- You have a strong understanding of numbers and have experience with common sales tools, ideally Salesforce to understand performance, identify opportunities and guide decisions.
- You communicate clearly and you find it easy to put ideas into practice and to define tangible goals.
- Your team would describe you as genuine, results-driven, hands-on and resilient.
- You work in an organised and structured way, and able to set priorities
- You lead with empathy and trust, while having the confidence to challenge your team and hold people accountable when needed.
- You're available to work from the office in Brussels at least 3 days a week to stay close to your team.
- You genuinely care about creating a more sustainable future and understand the urgency of taking action to protect our planet.
