Key Responsibilities:

Position Purpose: 

The Project coordinator provides overall field-level support for the implementation of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Safe shelter implementation and case management activities in line with the strategic priorities of the Bangladesh Crisis Response Program. S/he ensures the quality and timeliness of integrated protection services for women, men, children, and youth. The role includes providing technical guidance and hands-on support to case workers, prevention assistants, GBV Officers, Prevention Officer, Case manager, PSS activity Officer, Safe shelter manager while supporting monitoring, data management, and reporting systems. The Project coordinator also promotes capacity building for staff and partners, facilitates community engagement, and ensures adherence to safeguarding standards and donor requirements to strengthen protection outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Implementation & Management:

  • Design trainings and Provide opportunities for capacity building to all the team on general GBV interventions among other relevant issues.
  • Ensure the case management implemented by WV BRCR is aligned with local systems where possible and adheres to the inter-agency and WVB’s specific standard operating procedures, minimum standards, and technical guidelines.
  • Ensure internal and external referral mechanisms (with other sectors) are in place, and cases are appropriately managed and followed up when referred
  • Lead and facilitate the integration and effective use of GBVIMS+/Primero within case management processes, ensuring accurate data management, quality reporting, and compliance with data protection and safeguarding standards.
  • Conduct regular supervision meetings with case manager and case worker to ensure the effectiveness of the case management process.
  • Review the follow-up of GBV Case management and ensure all reporting is managed within acceptable timelines.
  • Work in close collaboration with the community systems to strengthen the relationship with the community in line with the referral system.
  • Work with the GBV team to ensure close links between case management and WVI’s work with community-based child protection mechanisms, WGSSs, and among others.
  • Supports the timely preparation and submission of sector reports in line with organizational and donor requirements.
  • Ensure safeguarding compliance (this includes visitors and media protocols, partnering with communities and other agencies or CBOs and children participation) with World Vision’s policies, GBVSS, and standards and guidelines.
  • Ensure all donor required report timely.

Partnership, Networking & Advocacy:

  • Ensure collaborative planning through the camp level sector coordination meetings while working closely with GBV focal points.
  • Represent World Vision during field level donors and Government visits.
  • Ensure constant and transparent communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders, including community members, community leaders and families
  • Support advocacy, communications, and organizational learning efforts through documentation of lessons learned, best practices, and evidence generation.
  • Ensure present in GBVSS.

 Trainings and capacity building:

  • Support recruitment, induction, and technical development of GBV Case Management staff, particularly in emergency contexts.
  • Facilitate and organize technical meetings, case conferences, and learning sessions as required.
  • Provide orientation and ongoing support to WVB staff on GBVIMS+/Primero, ensuring adherence to sub-sector guidelines and standards.
  • Develop and implement capacity-building plans for Case Management teams and partners.
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job technical support to Officers, assistants regarding case management.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and technical development of Child Protection and Case Management staff, particularly in emergency contexts.
  • Facilitate technical meetings, case conferences, and learning sessions as required.

Monitoring and evaluation:

  • Facilitated allocated projects’ information and documentation processes, and ensure effective communication of the project results.
  • Ensure WV participation in assessments in close coordination with the projects’ teams to feed into design team during the drafting of the new proposals, making sure it matches with the program objectives and donors’ requirements.
  • Work closely with the team to generate proposals and reports.
  • Ensure that files, registers and computer databases are used in an appropriate and correct manner and ensure case workers adhere to proper documentation and data protection protocols

End Result:

  • Project Coordinator will be responsible for the case management system to operates it effectively, adhering to World Vision, inter-agency, and sector-specific standards. GBVIMS+/Primero is fully integrated into case management processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and secure data management. Caseworkers are well-supported through regular supervision, capacity-building, and quality assurance measures. Strong internal and external referral mechanisms are in place, and cases are managed appropriately with active community engagement. Coordination with child protection and GBV teams ensures alignment with community-based mechanisms, WGSSs. Timely and accurate reporting supports sector-level planning and accountability, while safeguarding standards are consistently maintained, strengthening protection outcomes for women, children, and youth.
  • The Project coordinator ensures collaborative planning through camp-level sector coordination meetings and works closely with GBV focal points. S/he represents World Vision in CiC, as well as during field-level donor and government visits. Also maintains transparent communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including community members, leaders, and families, and supports advocacy and organizational learning by documenting lessons learned, best practices, and evidence to inform program improvement.
  • The Project coordinator develops and supports/leads the implementation of capacity-building plans for Case Management teams, as well as partner organizations. S/he supports recruitment, induction, and ongoing technical support to GBV Case Management staff, particularly in emergency contexts. Additionally, s/he supports technical meetings, case conferences, and learning sessions, while providing orientation and ongoing guidance to WVB staff on GBVIMS+/Primero to ensure compliance with sub-sector guidelines and standards.
  • The Project coordinator ensures accurate compilation and maintenance of quantitative and qualitative data in the case management database, while facilitating timely project documentation and communication of results. S/he supports assessments and contributes to proposal development, ensuring alignment with program objectives and donor requirements. The Project coordinator also oversees proper use of files, registers, and databases, ensuring that case workers follow documentation and data protection protocols.
  • As a result of the Protection specialist commitment to personal and professional growth, World Vision’s Core Values are consistently demonstrated in daily leadership and team interactions, fostering a positive and ethical work environment. Through active collaboration with key working groups and participation in exposure visits, the Protection specialist strengthens coordination, partnerships, and the overall quality of program delivery. Knowledge, Skill & Experience:

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in any discipline preferably in Social science/Social welfare/Anthropology/Law/Gender studies/social work.
  • Post graduate degree
  • Clear Understanding on the issues project has to work on.
  • Knowledge on current development and emergence issues
  • Good conceptual and practical skill to write project concept paper and design documents of the project.
  • Good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting
  • Baseline survey, Evaluation and Monitoring process and tools.
  • Good facilitation skill of Training, Seminar and Advocacy programs.
  • Proven management and leadership ability
  • Good communication and networking skill
  • Chittagong/Rohingya language skills will be taken into consideration. Good command in English & Bengali, both written and verbal.
  • Decision making and conflict resolution skills
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation

  • Minimum 5 years of GBV relevant experience
  • Advance knowledge of GBV case management GBVIMS+/primero 
  • Strong interpersonal relationship and team building back ground
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Possess the ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive collaboration and relationship.
  • Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience  with WGSS, Case management, peace building, community engagement, and adolescent engagement 
  • Must have no history of violation of children rights
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
  • Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment

Required Language(s): English, Bangla and Rohingya

Required travel and/or work environment accommodations:

  • Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff are expected to live in the location for short periods.
