About the Position

Join a team dedicated to improving the health of our communities through innovative, patient-centered public health care. The Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) Lead serves in a unique and impactful leadership role within Public Health Clinical Services, combining advanced clinical practice with program leadership to address some of the community's most critical health needs. This position provides direct patient care and clinical oversight for specialized public health programs, including Tuberculosis (TB) Services, Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Clinics, and Refugee Health Services, helping to prevent and control infectious diseases, advance health equity, and improve population health outcomes across the community.

More than a clinical leadership position, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities by expanding access to care, supporting vulnerable populations, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen the public health system and improve community resilience.

As both a clinician and leader, the NP Lead champions clinical excellence, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice while mentoring and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. This role provides clinical supervision, guidance, and operational support to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants (PAs), fostering a collaborative and high-performing clinical environment. Working alongside physicians, nursing leadership, program managers, epidemiologists, community partners, and multidisciplinary public health teams, the NP Lead plays a vital role in shaping public health strategy, strengthening community partnerships, responding to emerging public health challenges, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and compassionate care to diverse populations across the county.
