- Manages the efficient and timely operations of power plants to ensure an appropriate supply of electricity, gas, water, and other essential utilities required for operations. - Manages the activities of professional, technical and support employees who are engaged in providing for efficient and timely plant operations at Corewell Health. Facilitates the training and continuing education of employees. Provides direction and support to subordinate employees to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Selects, trains, develops, and evaluates subordinates and initiates personnel actions in accordance with departmental policies and organization philosophy.
- Ensures that employees respond to requests for services, information, records, and data on a timely basis. Researches and resolves problems.
- Provides oversight for all Joint Commission and State of Michigan life safety and utility management code compliance issues. Chairs hospital wide committees on behalf of plant operations to ensure that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.
- Develops, implements, and maintains departmental annual operating budgets, ensuring that operations are managed within established guidelines.
- Required - Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Business, Facilities Management or related field
- 5 years of relevant experience managing plant operation and maintenance functions - Required
- CRT-Healthcare Facility Manager, Certified (CHFM) - Upon Hire preferred
