What You Will Do in This Role:
- Monitor material shortages and proactively drive actions to ensure on-time customer delivery.
- Place purchase orders based on MRP requirements and maintain accurate supplier delivery commitments.
- Participate in production meetings and collaborate with planners and customer service teams to resolve critical shortages.
- Manage supplier communication regarding open orders, acknowledgements, delivery updates, and escalation of supply risks.
- Track supplier performance KPIs including OTD, inventory coverage, and shortage mitigation.
- Coordinate with Receiving to resolve goods receipt discrepancies and blocked invoices.
- Support engineering changes, new revisions, BOM updates, and material transitions.
- Analyze forecast demand, inventory levels, safety stock, and SAP planning parameters.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Kaizen methodologies.
- Develop supplier relationships through regular business reviews, performance monitoring, and improvement plans.
- Generate reports and metrics related to purchasing, inventory, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Sustainability, and Quality standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Logistics, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing, Material Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Logistics Buying.
- Experience working with international suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, MRP, demand planning, and forecast analysis.
- Experience within manufacturing environments.
- SAP proficiency required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- KPI management and supplier performance analysis experience.
- Understanding of engineering changes, PPAPs, and material lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluent English required.
- APICS certification preferred.
