As the Library Supervisor for our North Valley Regional Library, you will collaborate with staff and community organizations and plan and implement dynamic public programs and displays while providing excellent customer service to all ages. This role also supports the Library Branch Manager.

We Require
One year of professional library experience
Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited school

Job Contributions
Interviews, trains, supervises, and evaluates assigned branch staff
Plans and conducts programs for the public
Provides exceptional customer service by responding to customer queries and concerns, assisting customers with digital devices, and promoting all material types and products
Assists with scheduling staff and authorizes leave to ensure an equitable distribution of work and adequate staffing
Assists with establishing, evaluating, and revising branch goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Identifies needs and provides recommendations to improve branch operations (use of space, equipment, staffing, training, etc.)
Helps to work with the high school as necessary, including maintenance, safety, and security of the branch
Acts on behalf of the Large Branch Manager in his/her absence
Acts as a liaison to outside organizations and serves on standing and/or ad-hoc committees
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a library setting, typically consisting of office or administrative work, and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Ability to exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, and walk/stand to a significant degree
Must complete a background check and fingerprint identification upon hire to secure and maintain an Identity Verified Print (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
