Engineer, CPQ

Role Overview
We are seeking a CPQ Specialist to maintain, enhance, and support our existing Encompass and
Tacton CPQ environment. The role involves creating and refining product configuration logic,
updating pricing models, managing document generation templates, ensuring approval workflows
function work correctly, and monitoring order processing to guarantee smooth end-to-end
operations.

Key Responsibilities
Product Modeling
• Develop, implement and maintain configuration logic, rules, and constraints for complex
product structures.
• Ensure product models are accurate, scalable, and aligned with business requirements.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to reflect product changes in
CPQ.
Pricing Update
• Configure and update pricing rules, discount structures, and margin controls.
• Work with finance and sales teams to ensure pricing accuracy and competitiveness.
• Maintain dynamic pricing logic to reflect market and business strategy changes.
Document Generation
• Create and maintain templates for quotes, proposals, and contracts.
• Ensure generated documents comply with branding, legal, and business standards.
• Automate workflows for efficient and accurate document delivery.
Approval Workflow Management
• Configure and monitor approval workflows to ensure compliance with business policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve workflow issues to avoid delays in quoting and order processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine approval processes as business needs evolve.
Order Processing
• Ensure orders generated through CPQ flow correctly into ERP/CRM systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot order processing issues to maintain operational efficiency.
• Work closely with IT and operations teams to support integration and data accuracy.
System Support & Continuous Improvement
• Create related documentation for team training and development
• Provide training for teams on different workflows
• Troubleshoot issues related to product logic, pricing, workflows and document generation.
• Identify opportunities to optimize CPQ processes and enhance user experience.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Information technology
Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience with CPQ (configuration, pricing, quoting, document generation,
workflows).
• Strong understanding of product modeling logic (rules, constraints, dependencies).
• Knowledge of pricing structures (discounts, margins, dynamic pricing).
• Familiarity with document automation tools and template management.
• Experience with approval workflows and order processing in CPQ.
• Be able to quickly learn new software with demonstrated computer expertise
• Atlassian Jira and Confluence experience
• Fluent in MS Excel and other MS Office tool
• Basic scripting or programming skills for advanced logic building.
• Understanding of Database concept
• Experience in XML
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, finance, engineering, IT,
and product teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadlines.
• Self-starter with a strong passion for learning
