DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Conversation Partners responsibilities:

• Hold conversations in Spanish for students of intermediate/advanced spanish courses. Appointments are 15 minutes long (up to four appointments per hour). 

• Record students attendance in provided Google form.

Front desk responsibilities:

• Sign users in using Google form

• Hand out and keep track of material

• Set up the Lab for incoming classes and lab sessions

• Photocopy/Scan documents

• Research the web for information

• Create simple documents

• Answer questions and provide assistance to students and faculty 

• Prepare simple tutorials on how to do things in the center

• Type or read information in a foreign language if applicable

*We provide training on all special tasks mentioned above*

QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires native or advanced proficiency in spoken Spanish

• Knowledge of Google Docs and Google Calendar preferred

• Willingness to learn how to perform the aforementioned tasks

• Ability to maintain confidential information
