Purpose:
This role forms part of Clickatell's Finance Graduate Development Program and provides structured exposure to Accounts Receivable operations, financial administration, customer account management, and financial reporting disciplines. The successful candidate will be developed through on-the-job learning, coaching, and practical application of finance best practices. The program runs for 10 months, commencing on 1 February 2027 and concluding on 30 November 2027. To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must be based in Cape Town and available to participate in the program for its full duration.

Responsibilities of the Role
Financial & Accounts Receivable Operations
The graduate will learn to:
- Process and accurately allocate customer payments across multiple products and platforms.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Monitor aging reports and support collection activities aimed at reducing DSO.
- Support month-end, year-end, and audit-related processes.
- Assist with customer billing, collections and account maintenance activities.
Financial Acumen
The graduate will learn to:
- Understand the impact of Accounts Receivable on cash flow and overall business performance.
- Interpret key AR performance indicators, including:
- Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
- Aging Analysis
- Collections Performance
- Bad Debt Provision Trends
Systems & Digital Skills
The graduate will gain practical experience in:
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central and associated finance systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and variance investigation.
- Jira and digital workflow tools for managing customer and payment-related queries.
- Customer account maintenance and financial data management across integrated systems.
Compliance & Governance
The graduate will develop knowledge of:
- KYC procedures and customer credit assessments.
- Credit verification processes using TransUnion and Dun & Bradstreet.
- Financial controls and internal governance requirements.
- Audit preparation and documentation requirements.
- Data accuracy, confidentiality, and financial record management.
