What you’ll do
• System Design & Integration: Design, specify, and develop automation and control systems for Synertrex sensing technologies and Digital Next solutions, integrating monitoring equipment into engineered products such as pump houses and barges.
• Installation & Support: Support installation, startup, and customer adoption of monitoring systems at customer sites, providing technical guidance and training to field personnel and customers.
• Equipment Management: Manage procurement, installation, testing, and maintenance of control and condition monitoring equipment to ensure machine reliability and optimal performance.
• Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a technical liaison with customers, vendors, and internal teams to understand requirements, provide advice, and support sales and operational activities.
• Documentation & Compliance: Generate functional requirements, installation guidelines, and SOPs in compliance with electrical standards (CE, UL, NEC).
• Travel: Expect 20-40% travel, primarily domestic with some international trips, to support installations, startups, and customer engagements.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
• 0-4 years of experience in instrumentation, control systems development, and customer-facing technical roles
• Proficiency in PLC programming, microcontroller programming, and knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with customers
Nice-to-haves:
• Experience with robotics, sensor integration, and digital monitoring platforms
• Knowledge of industrial networking and IoT technologies
• Previous exposure to minerals processing equipment or industrial automation environments
• Experience supporting complex installations and system integration projects
