Über diese Intermediate Digital Campaign Manager Stelle bei Talent Engine

Talent Engine · Hybrid · Westville, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

The Digital Campaign Manager (DCM) is the client’s single point of contact and account owner for a portfolio of dealer clients from handover onward. The role is accountable for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring agreed outcomes are delivered, and working closely with paid media specialists, designers and copywriters who produce the campaigns.

This is an advisory account-management role focused on keeping campaigns live and on track, interpreting performance data to provide recommendations and make adjustments, and maintaining a rolling recommended plan for each client. Plans should be reviewed monthly, with the DCM proactively proposing the next phase of activity based on manufacturer offers, available stock and client budgets. Longer-term 3–6 month plans should also be developed for launches, events and major campaigns.

The core focus of the role is client retention and account growth, with responsibility for identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell relevant services and solutions.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to attend meetings at our Westville office as required. The successful candidate will also need to have their own PC and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Core Responsibilities

Client ownership

•   Act as the client's primary point of contact from handover, building trusted relationships that drive satisfaction and retention, with specialists joining strategic or technical discussions where they add value.

•   Onboard each client at handover with a structured kickoff — confirming goals, access, brand assets and campaign tracking before work starts.

•   Hold check-ins at an agreed cadence (typically monthly online, with occasional in-person or office visits), staying responsive between them and giving clear, timely feedback on requests and results.

Campaign delivery

•   Ensure campaigns stay aligned to the client's agreed objectives and remain live across Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bing and any additional platforms added to the Amplify offering over time, with the paid media specialists accountable for campaign setup, delivery and optimisation.

•   Confirm that conversion and lead tracking is in place so campaign results are measurable and attributable, with the paid media specialist implementing the setup.

•   Understand campaign performance well enough to advise the client and agree direction; the paid media specialist makes the targeting, creative, budget and optimisation changes. Coordinate top-ups and direct marketing (email, SMS, WhatsApp).

•   Gather full client requirements and provide clear, accurate briefs to the copywriting and design teams, keeping work within agreed turnaround times; the paid media specialist completes the final technical review before launch.

•   Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to conceptualise and translate client ideas into clear, accurate briefs, so design output matches the brief first time.

Amplify products (Campaign Manager)

•   Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Amplify product range on the Campaign Manager suite, recommending suitable solutions and building the right products into each runway, drawing on subject-matter experts for deeper technical detail.

•   Match product and budget to objective, using add-ons (Smart Overlay, Amplify Assist) and top-ups to sustain performance.

•   Stay abreast of industry trends and new product developments so advice and runways stay current.

Data, runway & growth

•   Communicate campaign performance to clients through regular reports drawn from the Exception Report and Looker Studio (leads, lead quality, cost-per-lead, spend and results). Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and agents to help interpret the data and draft possible solutions, which the DCM reviews and confirms with the paid media specialist before any recommendations are presented to the client.

•   Proactively spot when a client is not getting the lead volume or quality expected, work with the paid media specialist to understand why, recommend the right response (for example budget, offer, product mix or expectations), and own the conversation with the client through to resolution.

•   Maintain a rolling recommended plan for each client, review it monthly, and proactively propose the next phase of activity as manufacturer offers, stock and budgets allow, with longer 3–6 month plans for launches, events and major campaigns.

•   Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities and grow accounts, measured on retention and account growth; route genuinely new business to the commercial team.

Ways of working

•   Manage requests through the Campaign Manager platform, log activity accurately, and follow and help improve processes.

•   Monitor each client's monthly spend against plan and flag variances; billing of top-ups and admin fees remains with finance.

•   Advise clients on advertising-platform policies and data-privacy requirements under the Protection of Personal Information Act, particularly consent for email, SMS and WhatsApp direct marketing.

•   Complete platform training to a working level, including view access, the Exception Report and Looker Studio reporting, and adopt AI-assisted workflows as they roll out; deeper specialist certification supports progression into a paid media specialist role.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Matric/ Grade 12 is a minumum requirement.
  • Marketing degree/diploma or related certification (preferred).
  • Platform certifications (Google Ads, Meta Blueprint) and AI-in-marketing training (e.g. Microsoft Copilot for marketing, or a comparable generative-AI course) are an advantage.

Experience

  • 2+ years in digital campaign management, paid media or digital account management
  • Proven client ownership and delivery of measurable outcomes; agency and/or automotive experience an advantage.

Knowledge & skills

  • A working understanding of paid search and paid social, Google Ads, email, SMS, search-engine optimisation and content marketing, with strong data literacy and a good sense of budgets and return on ad spend.
  • Sound understanding of the market landscape, consumer behaviour and competitor activity.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and strong project management across multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  • Proactive, accountable and commercially aware; a critical thinker and problem-solver, adaptable with a continuous-improvement mindset.
