The R&D Data Office serves as a cornerstone to this effort. Our team is responsible for cross R&D data strategy, governance and management. We partner with Business and Digital and drive data needs across priority and transformative initiatives throughout R&D. Team members serve as advisors, leaders and educators to colleagues and data professionals across the R&D value chain.
As an integral team member, you will be responsible for defining how R&D structured, semi structured and unstructured data will be stored, consumed, integrated, shared and reported for different end users such as scientists and clinicians. You will also be pivotal in developing sustainable mechanisms for ensuring data are FAIR, meaning findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
Position Summary
R&D Data Project Management Lead plays a key execution and delivery role across multiple Sanofi R&D imperatives. This role requires a strong understanding of R&D business processes and strong stakeholder management skills. The role also requires familiarity with data practices such as data strategy, data management and data governance and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders on behalf of the R&D Data Office.
Main responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate timelines across R&D Data Office initiatives within the RDDO and with related and dependent initiatives across the enterprise.
Oversee maintenance of program plans, communications and templates.
Manage demand and provide advice on financial management for priority R&D Data Office initiatives. Support integration with Finance, Procurement and other corporate functions.
Monitor R&D Data Office initiative objectives, particularly as they develop R&D Data Office capabilities such as Data Governance and Data Management. Identify and raise gaps in the operating model across people, process and technology.
Coordinate preparatory work and briefing materials for key meetings.
Support and create strategic documents articulating the value of R&D Data Office activities.
Support and create training modules and communications to strengthen R&D data culture and literacy.
Support the R&D Data Office agenda in line with company strategic priorities by monitoring progress and related KPIs and working with key stakeholders to support delivery.
May directly or indirectly lead junior roles across end to end activities.
Work in collaboration with R&D Data Office leadership, including the Data Capability and Strategy Leads, business teams, R&D Digital subject matter experts and other partners to develop senior executive communications and materials.
Develop individual and cross program plans for initiatives that deliver the ambition of the R&D Data Office and broader Sanofi data strategy ambitions.
Create business cases, use cases and persona journeys.
Develop and update the R&D Data Office data strategy.
Facilitate strategy, business development and ways of working workshops.
Deliverables
Develop a comprehensive plan outlining strategies, timelines, resources and communication methods for implementing change at an R&D and organizational level.
Identify and assess key stakeholders and create plans to engage them and manage expectations.
Develop executive level presentations that support leadership in clearly understanding proposed changes and gaining support and commitment.
Coach senior leaders and change agents on effectively leading the change process.
About you
Experience:
10 or more years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, Business Development, Communications, Change Management, Data, Technology or a related field.
Knowledge of drug discovery and development information and processes.Ability to act as a change agent with a combination of business, technology and diplomatic skills.
Strong familiarity with data analytics, data capabilities and cross industry data standards.Ability to plan and forecast across programs and initiatives.
Ability to navigate, escalate and manage risks.Experience in budgeting and financial management, including operating and capital expenditure.
Demonstrated skills in the transformation and implementation of large scale programs.Understanding of backend and frontend technologies and experience implementing highly functional solutions that can scale.
Experience ensuring organizational adoption of changes that require significant influence across business teams. Ability to define KPIs for leadership and measure the adoption and sustainability of changes.
Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into content that is simple, accurate and easy to understand.
Expert communication skills. Experience with change management and training modules is an advantage.Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the use of social media in an enterprise environment.
Experience with change management and development of training modules.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or Information Technology.
