We are seeking an experienced Associate Vice President – Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead the strategy, implementation, and governance of enterprise identity and access management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 8–11 years of experience in designing and managing IAM programs, with deep expertise in SailPoint and modern Identity & Access Management practices. This leadership role requires a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to build and mentor high-performing teams while driving enterprise security initiatives.
As an AVP, you will work closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, application development, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable identity lifecycle management across the organization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) program, ensuring alignment with organizational security and compliance objectives.
- Design, implement, and optimize IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ or SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
- Oversee identity lifecycle management, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, access requests, role management, and certification processes.
- Develop and enforce IAM governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, HR, and application teams to integrate IAM solutions across enterprise applications and cloud platforms.
- Drive automation of identity governance processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce security risks.
- Manage privileged access, segregation of duties (SoD), role-based access control (RBAC), and least-privilege principles.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor IAM operations, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable security controls.
- Lead incident resolution related to identity and access issues while ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Mentor, guide, and develop IAM engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
- Partner with senior leadership to define IAM roadmaps and strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- 8–11 years of experience in Identity & Access Management, cybersecurity, or enterprise security engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, or equivalent SailPoint solutions.
- Deep understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts, including identity governance, authentication, authorization, federation, and access lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing RBAC, access certifications, identity provisioning, password management, and access governance.
- Knowledge of enterprise authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and LDAP/Active Directory.
- Familiarity with cloud IAM services and enterprise security architecture.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
