The Financial Operations team manages all customer funds across the region, ensuring that funds are placed appropriately, liquidity is managed correctly, transactions are reconciled and all manual operations to support customer fund flows are executed to an extremely high standard.

As we expand across more countries, we have developed a global offering (“Global Accounts”) for our merchants, allowing them to move funds seamlessly across currencies and leverage any of Xendit’s global services from within one dashboard. This role will be the main owner of all regional fund flows, overseeing float management, liquidity forecasting, day to day operations, cross border and FX operations. The focus will be on the strategy and management of this, while execution will primarily be done by the existing operations team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Management, Accounting, Finance, or a similar course, with 5-8 years of relevant experience in a start-up/fast paced environment or within the payments, fintech, or financial services spaces
• At least 3 years working in cross-border and FX operations
• Able to get your hands dirty, getting into the weeds of the operations to ensure they are done in the most efficient and effective manner
• Comfortable dealing with large datasets and data analysis
• Constantly looking to push the bar and increase standards of operations
• You have a discerning ability to prioritize workload in line with tight deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• You are a team player and communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
• You have great ownership mentality and have proven you can push towards a goal by yourself

Responsibilities

Design & execute the fund management & liquidity strategy for Global Accounts operations

• Understand all fund flows, their volumes, and their liquidity requirements, in order to design the right strategy to support these operations
• Design & execute on the strategy to manage liquidity in the most operationally and cost effective manner for Xendit. Adjust strategy as needed
• Monitor funds across the region through the day to ensure correct allocation across accounts and currencies

Monitor Global Accounts & FX operations to ensure seamless execution

• Execution of Global Accounts & FX operations will be done by the existing Financial Operations team. Oversee and guide the operations to ensure that there are no errors or disruptions to merchant flows
• Create or update SOPs as required to correct operations and ensure they all follow best practices
• Address and manage any operational issues or escalations independently

Operational improvements & reporting

• Focus on the processes and tooling to enable the execution of cross border fund flows and liquidity operations
• Report on Global Accounts operations and liquidity statuses to the Financial Operations Head and to broader leadership as required
• ⁠⁠Own and drive Global Accounts & FX metrics such as efficiency and accuracy

Work closely with various internal teams to drive success

• The reconciliations of all fund flows are done by a centralised team. Work closely with this team on all Global Accounts / FX recons to ensure they have the information they need and to address any questions / unreconciled items that arise
• As the product continues to evolve, partner closely with the product team to give feedback on the product and provide FinOps’ input and requests, to ensure future builds and evolutions meet our operational requirements
• Solve complex problems by working across product, regional partnerships, treasury, compliance, sales and growth teams to ensure FinOps is able to support all aspects of our Global Accounts

About the Job

We are looking for a Risk Operations Analyst to perform various merchant risk management activities at Xendit, including investigation of merchant-related risk alerts, reviewing and deciding on merchant requests for activating features and channels, updating transaction privileges, responding to risk-related queries from merchants and internal and external stakeholders, and managing other fraud-related operational matters.

The role requires a strong ability to independently assess the context of the situation and alerts, and apply sound judgment to decide the right course of action. This person needs to be proactive and have the acumen to apply risk management principles in varied situations. An ability to follow the standard operating procedures, owning the tasks and cases end-to-end, and the drive to bring cases to a conclusion will be important requirements for this role.

The role will involve communication with teams across Xendit and with external partners and merchants. There will also be multiple priorities to manage. Clear and precise communication skills will be required, as well as the ability to independently craft recommendations to senior stakeholders using risk protocols and SOPs instead of seeking constant direction.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in risk management, fraud investigations, or fraud-related operations
• Understanding of risk concepts and experience with common risk metrics
• Ability to conduct basic data analysis and structure the investigations in a methodical way
• Ability to understand and follow the standard operating procedures and risk protocols
• Excellent communication skills and good English language skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear investigation summaries and communicate decisions to internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive cases from detection to closure with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to own the tasks and drive to a conclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience with risk operations and conducting fraud investigations and assessments
• Experience using SQL to query databases or leveraging tools like Looker, Databricks, and Splunk for data exploration and investigations
• Familiarity with payment products such as Virtual account, QRIS, Cards, eWallet, BNPL, and other payment products
• Strong desire to learn and agility to apply basic concepts to multiple situations

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and conduct fraud and credit risk investigations triggered through alerts, dispute spikes, abnormal transaction behavior, and merchant risk signals.
• Monitor merchant performance and trends to identify high-risk merchants early and take appropriate mitigating actions to reduce fraud and chargeback exposure.
• Independently coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive investigations to closure, ensuring clear documentation, evidence collection, and decision traceability.
• Assess requests from merchants and internal stakeholders for enabling payment channels, features, and limits by performing risk assessment and recommending controls (limits, holds, enhanced monitoring, etc.)
• Follow the SOPs and manage daily fraud operations, including coordinating with multiple bank partners, internal stakeholders, and merchants.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Compliance, Support, Merchant Success) to improve risk controls, SOPs, and preventive measures.
