Our Legal team plays a key role in enabling this growth by supporting the business on some of its most critical and fast-evolving topics. We are now looking for a Senior Employment Counsel to join our global employment legal team and take ownership of employment-related matters across the Nordics and Baltics. This role sits at the intersection of traditional employment law and new workforce models, offering a unique opportunity to work on high-impact, cutting-edge issues.
The position is based in Helsinki, Finland.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will act as the primary legal partner for all employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions, supporting both employee and courier-related topics in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
Day-to-day in this role you’ll:
Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice on employment law matters across the Nordics
Support a broad range of topics, including employees, independent contractors, and alternative workforce models
Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Operations, Policy, Legal) to support business initiatives and manage risk
Lead and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring high-quality and consistent advice
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively advise on potential impacts to the business
Contribute to global employment legal strategy and share best practices across regions
Our humble expectations
Fully qualified lawyer with significant experience in employment law (typically 8+ years), gained in a law firm and/or in-house
Proven ability to work autonomously and lead complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior business partners
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to assume best intent and partner openly in navigating intersecting and/or ambiguous areas of legal responsibility with other members of the Legal team
Experience advising on or exposure to non-traditional workforce models (e.g. independent contractors, platform work). We also value experience in working with matters involving trade unions.
Excellent judgment, with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach to legal risk
Fluent in English
What we offer
A unique opportunity to own and shape employment legal strategy across a complex and high-impact region
Exposure to cutting-edge legal, political and regulatory questions, particularly around the future of work and platform models
A highly collaborative, international legal team of experienced employment lawyers
A fast-paced, dynamic environment with significant autonomy and visibility
The chance to work closely with senior stakeholders and influence key business decisions
A hybrid working model and a culture that values flexibility and trust
Next steps
We review applications on a rolling basis and aim to move quickly with suitable candidates. The hiring process will include an initial conversation, interviews with the hiring manager and key stakeholders, and a case study exercise.
If you’re excited about working on complex, high-impact employment law topics in an international environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Some prior experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or in a similar role — ideally in an international company or law firm.
Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, structured way of working.
Great communication and collaboration skills — you’ll be working with many stakeholders across the company.
