• Work on our in-house distributed-compute framework designed for execution on a large scale within HRT’s compute cluster. This framework serves various teams, with our algo teams being the primary users, particularly for training complex models.

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Lead to join our growing Information Security team. This role will lead security governance programs for HRT entities based in America, Europe, and Asia, and will work directly on automating security governance at scale.

In this hands-on role, you will liaise closely with HRT’s Compliance and Legal teams to research, build, and maintain security solutions for a diverse set of industry regulations and requirements. You’ll lead a technical team responsible for owning and strategically ensuring HRT’s compliance with global security regulations, helping to equip HRT to enter new markets with increasingly complicated regulatory needs. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of security GRC engineers
• Perform internal and external security control assessments using industry standard frameworks such as NIST and CIS
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments
• Create and maintain security and compliance policies, standards, and guidelines
• Track regulatory security compliance obligations worldwide
• Work with cross-functional teams on program management to meet security and compliance KPIs
• Define critical success factors and KPIs to ensure firm-wide security compliance and security goals are met according to standards-based frameworks
• Monitor KPIs and create dashboards for real-time reports and board presentations
• Collect and analyze business metrics and build dashboards for reporting through data engineering
• Support the automation and governance of HRT’s critical security controls, encompassing:
• Vendor risk management
• Penetration testing
• Access management
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to requests for company data in collaboration with Compliance and Legal 

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity risk and/or compliance with significant experience at a company in a heavily regulated industry
• Software development and/or scripting experience, preferably in Python or Go
• Familiarity with standards-based security frameworks such as CIS, NIST-CSF, FedRAMP, or ISO
• Data analysis skills leveraging SQL, Elastic, OSQuery, and Prometheus preferred
• Experience building strong cross-functional relationships and working across multiple teams, both technical and non-technical
• Experience with Linux and comfortability on the command line (Debian is a huge plus!)
• Familiarity with financial industry regulations
• CISSP, CISM, or a similar certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Help maintain and enhance HRT’s security detection and response program to protect our data and intellectual property from both internal misuse and external threats
• Build and maintain end-to-end pipelines to ingest, parse, map, enrich, visualize, and analyze raw logs from disparate sources
• Design, build, and maintain innovative solutions to supercharge incident response
• Respond to malicious activity and anomalous events on HRT’s devices and networks
• Maintain and enhance HRT's data loss prevention systems to better detect advanced insider threats

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role
• Extensive programming experience, preferably in Python
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated systems
• Strong security fundamentals (SOC experience is a plus)
• Experience with security data engineering (ELK stack is a plus)
• Experience working with and securing Linux systems (Debian is a huge plus!)
• Willingness to work an on-call rotation during business hours and one weekend per month

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with experience designing and managing large environments to fulfill the high-performance and availability requirements of a premiere algorithmic trading firm operating in global financial markets. 

This position requires both project management and deep technical skills. Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related IT field
• 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in low-latency and high-frequency trading environments.
• In depth understanding of common layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols and best practices; working knowledge of OSPF, BGP, PIM, IGMP
• Experience managing Arista, Cisco, and other common networking devices on a day-to-day basis
• Familiarity with low-latency microwave networks and/or optical transmission systems, such as Adva, Ciena is desirable
• Experience in designing enterprise networks, capacity planning, and full lifecycle project management
• Experience with packet decoding and analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
• Excellent oral and written communication skills: able to distill complicated issues into clear and concise terms and to create and maintain effective technical documentation
• Experience with Unix/Linux command line utilities and networking stack
• Excellent troubleshooting skills on a wide range of networking issues, including common ethernet LAN problems, multicast market data distribution, and global WAN
• Understanding of basic power consumption and cooling issues in a datacenter environment
• Knowledge of fiber optics technology and cabling standards. Ability to sort through specs and make recommendations on appropriate purchases
• Willingness and ability to solve small technical problems in the field yourself.

• Familiarity with firewalls (including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPNs and NAT
