About the opportunity

We are seeking a Telecom Solutions Architect to serve as a trusted technical and business partner to our customers - understanding the requirements, aligning Wavelo’s solutions to their environments, and driving successful outcomes across the full engagement cycle. This role is designed to become a true trusted partner to customer business and IT groups. This role will participate in solution development, proposal generation and post-contract implementation.

In this role, you will work with Sales and account teams to create effective solutions for customers in the context of their specific environments, technical architectures and business objectives. Job Duties

• Work collaboratively with Sales teams, Customer Success, Professional Services teams and Product Management to create customer specific solution proposals and support the sales and contracting process.
• Participate in customer facing discussions and presentations of the solution to instill confidence with the customer both in the proposed solution and in Wavelo’s ability to deliver.
• Remain engaged through implementation to adjust solution components as needed and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the delivery cycle.
• Collect and analyze feedback from customers, partners and other teams to inform and shape requirements, features for broader solutions.
• Participate in ongoing account “farming” for add-on opportunities.
• Champion customer needs across internal teams - including Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Support - to continually represent and refine potential solutions.
• Provide Industry knowledge for how we can best position our products and services in a highly competitive marketplace.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Need to Have

• Broad knowledge of Telecom BSS/OSS architectures and solutions including emerging trends such as Agentic AI and 5G monetization strategies.
• Passion for understanding customer needs and the ability to pair this knowledge with solid data and outstanding design to elegantly resolve problems.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, evaluate outcomes and challenge conventional wisdom.
• Ability to lead, preferably with a consensus-based approach, and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications Required

• Ideally, 10+ years of experience developing and deploying BSS/OSS solutions within the mobile app, web or telecom environment
• Background in software development and program management is preferred
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies and the ability to comfortably describe related technical concepts and capabilities

The base salary range for this position is $157,000 – $175,000 USD for US residents OR $146,000 – $162,000 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications. About the opportunity

As Sales Director for Wavelo, you will partner with our VP Sales to grow new logo business and help achieve our revenue targets. Reporting directly to the VP Sales, you'll work within a new, fast-moving, and thoughtful team and play a vital role in Wavelo's growth. You will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business across NOAM. You will identify, nurture and close new opportunities, manage forecasts and track customer data. We're strong proponents of a consultative sales approach - learn about the customer's needs before discussing products. Your expertise will be critical in helping articulate the way in which Wavelo will solve the customers' problem(s). You will work with the customer during the sales cycle and include our Customer Success, Marketing and Engineering teams as necessary. Ideally, you come from a technical background and have sold innovative solutions to Tier-1 CSPs.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with the rest of the GTM team on the consistent development and deployment of our Go To Market Strategy
• Source a large portion of your deals through strategic outbound prospecting, networking, and referral generation (this is primarily a hunter role!)
• Work the sales cycle on a select number of opportunities that come in through inbound
• Lead all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting and initial contact, sales meetings, product demos, proofs of concept, proposals and quote creation, negotiations, order processing, account management, and upsell/cross-sell
• Define and regularly iterate messaging that will scale our outbound prospecting engine
• Bring an in-depth knowledge of the OSS/BSS space and the emerging competitive landscape
• Help build our sales organization and mentor teammates

• Demonstrable record of consistently meeting and exceeding quota in a fast-paced sales environment (top 10% performer)
• Advanced knowledge of sales coaching, best practices, and sales methodology
• Experience working with SaaS
• Experience working for a software provider in the telecom industry where the ICPs were technical leaders, including CTO and CIO of Tier-1 CSP
• Experience using Command of the Message and MEDD(P)ICC is ideal #LI-NA1

The expected On Target Earnings range for this position is $250,900 - $278,800 USD for US residents OR $229,700 - $255,200 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. About the Opportunity

We are seeking a self-motivated Principal Engineer - Platform Engineering with strong backend software development experience who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and sharing knowledge across teams.

In this role, you will set technical direction and lead the design and development of high-impact backend services and systems that power Wavelo's products. You'll focus on building reliable, performant, and maintainable software, enabling teams to ship high-quality features efficiently at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, can translate business needs into robust technical solutions, and consistently raises the bar for software design and engineering practices across teams.

You will collaborate closely with product, data, and infrastructure partners to design APIs, improve system architecture, and evolve our backend ecosystem. While you'll work alongside Infrastructure and DevOps teams, your primary focus will be on application-layer design, service reliability, and delivering customer-facing value through code.

This is a remote opportunity for applicants in Canada.

Job Duties

In the First Month

• Gain a deep understanding of the current platform landscape including infrastructure, platform services, and application layers.

• Identify key constraints that are slowing engineering delivery.

• Build context around the environment platform strategy, including declarative environments, generated artifacts, and self-service developer experiences.

• Identify current platform gaps such as manual steps or fragile integrations.

• Establish strong working relationships across Infrastructure/CI, Operations, Security, and product engineering teams.

• Begin shaping shared standards through design reviews and code reviews.

• Identify 1–2 high-leverage improvements (e.g., removing manual provisioning steps, improving reliability signals, tightening CI/CD contracts).

In the First 3 Months

• Contribute to and lead technical design and architecture discussions for foundational platform initiatives.

• Design and implement features that improve platform repeatability, reliability, and safety.

• Deliver solutions such as:

  • Dependency-ordered orchestration inputs

  • Self-service preview tooling

  • Standardized deployment interfaces

• Promote an “automate-first” mindset by reducing manual operational work and pushing reliability and quality earlier in the development lifecycle.

• Improve engineering quality through:

  • Strong code review culture

  • Clear technical standards

  • Practical documentation and runbooks that reduce tribal knowledge.

In the First Year

• Own multiple platform initiatives end-to-end, from concept through production outcomes.

• Balance delivery speed with sound architectural decisions and long-term maintainability.

• Set technical direction across teams within your domain.

• Deliver measurable improvements in:

  • Environment spin-up time

  • Deployment and rollback safety

  • Incident and operational toil reduction

  • Observability coverage

• Act as a mentor to senior and junior engineers, multiplying impact through coaching and technical leadership.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex, loosely scoped technical initiatives.

• Strong platform engineering mindset, including building reusable primitives, paved-road solutions, and automation frameworks that enable product teams.

• Experience designing and building reliable, scalable, and operationally sound software systems.

• Ability to influence without authority, driving alignment across teams through clarity, pragmatism, and shared standards.

• Strong automation-first mindset with a focus on measurable engineering outcomes such as:

  • Faster environment provisioning.

Qualifications Required

• 8+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent depth of technical ownership.

• Demonstrated experience leading platform, infrastructure, or developer-experience initiatives that improved reliability and/or delivery speed.

• Experience with modern software delivery practices.
