SUMMARY

Responsible for payroll functions; applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures;
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports;
• Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, 401 (k) deductions, hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records;
• Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records;
• Responds to employee/client questions regarding pay;
• Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll; 
• Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records;
• Records data concerning transfer of employees between departments;
• Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions; 
• Prepares weekly, monthly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management;
• Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages;
• Prepares and issues paychecks;
• Responsible for mailing W-2’s;
• Handles duties of Billing Accountant in their absence;
• Performs other office duties as needed to ensure smooth financial processes.

The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the payroll specialists and tasks in the organization's payroll department. The primary function of the supervisor is to ensure the accurate, timely, and correct processing of payroll and garnishment for more than 8,500 employees across the United States and its four territories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, 401 (k) deductions, hours worked, union dues, taxes, insurance, other employee benefits, and employee identification number, from timekeeping and other records.
• Reviews payroll data for accuracy - includes direct deposit forms, timekeeping reports, leave requests, and PTO requests.
• Responds to employee/client questions regarding pay.
• Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
• Performs a comprehensive final payroll review for each pay cycle, utilizing various checklists to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Verifies changes affecting net wages, such as garnishments, loan payments, and other miscellaneous compensation/deductions for each employee as needed.
• Verifies data concerning the transfer of employees between departments and/or locations.
• Prepares periodic reports of employee earnings, taxes, and deductions.
• Prepares weekly, monthly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
• Manages and reviews the cash-out process for federal contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Reviews payroll data entry requests for accuracy and adequate approvals. Maintain proper documentation in adherence to established policies and guidelines, aligned with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Prepares manual off-cycle requests and ensures proper approval is received.
• Prepares and issues paychecks.

Summary

Plans and administers all policies relating to all phases of Human Resources activity by performing the following duties with assistance from the Regional Support Center Human Resources staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participates in company-wide Human Resources initiatives and projects, assisting with implementations at the Branch Operations level.
• Maintains applicant flow and sourcing methods; sources candidates for the Branch Operations, including placing advertisements, attending career fairs, directing sourcing, and job posting both internally and externally.
• Interviews and hires qualified candidates for Branch Operations through phone and in-person interviews, pre-employment tests, drug screens, and applicant background checks. Administers pre- and post-employment documentation, files, and obtains required licensing and other documentation.
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to ensure quality training of organizational policies, procedures, and culture; schedules Initial Security Officer Training (ISOT) and Pre-Assignment Training for new hire personnel.
• Provides Walden Security benefits information and assists with completing the necessary forms to enroll and cancel benefits.
• Creates and enters new employee personnel information into the HRIS.
• Keeps records of personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, separations/terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Records and tracks EEO data relative to new employee applicant flow data; Maintains new applications as specified by the EEO Administrator.
• Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. 
• Advises management in the appropriate resolution of employee relations issues; drafts counseling documents and participates in disciplinary procedures.
• Responds to employee inquiries regarding personnel policies, procedures, and programs.
• Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.

This position edits, audits, and updates training, focusing on contract compliance and providing the highest-quality training products for security personnel servicing contracts supported by the Federal Services Division (FSD). It is supervised by and reports to the Assistant Director of Training, Federal Services Division. **This position is an on-site position located at the corporate office in Chattanooga, TN**

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement and deploy eLearning content based on the current and future needs of any FSD contracts.
• Update Walden Security training forms as needed and modify required training documentation (e.g., checklists, sign-in sheets, forms, etc.) to ensure they are up to date.
• Collaborate with Training Instructors to modify and update content and lesson plans as required to meet Federal contract requirements.
• Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the LMS as they relate to FSD requirements.
• Review, prepare, and assist in updating training and LMS content before the start of each fiscal year.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and employee development progress in the LMS.
• Generate Training reports, such as completions and certifications, by course.
• Troubleshoot any LMS-related training issues reported by end users or other sources.
• Guide contract managers and intermediate supervisors on completing required training forms.
• Process New Hires
• Update spreadsheets with new hires, LOA, FMLA, terminations, transfers, etc.
• General training/administrative support to assigned contracts/circuits (to include email, phone calls, etc.)
• LMS data entry and support
• Receive, review, and audit the training schedule
• Regulate, check, and confirm that all training Instructors are certified during documentation review/submit requests for training instructor approval to the field training manager
