This role offers the opportunity to work alongside Board‑Certified Criticalists, Surgeons, Internists, and Emergency Clinicians, supported by a highly skilled, collaborative team of RVTs and veterinary assistants dedicated to outstanding patient care.
This position centers on dedicated ICU and emergency nursing, high‑acuity patient management, and continuous monitoring, while offering opportunities to cross‑train in Internal Medicine and Surgery and further advance your clinical expertise.

Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician for a specialized hybrid position with an approximately 50/50 split between medical oncology support and anesthesia monitoring for radiation oncology procedures. This role is ideal for an RVT who enjoys longitudinal oncology case involvement and focused anesthetic monitoring in a radiation oncology setting.
This position does not include general surgical anesthesia; anesthetic responsibilities are limited to monitoring patients during radiation oncology procedures.

About the role
The role you will play in our department: We are looking for a strong candidate that demonstrates both exemplary communication and leadership skills. The ideal role of this technician is to serve as an extension of our Internists and work as a team for the benefit of patient and client care. This technician will have an active role in client communication including communication of diagnostic results and procedures as dictated by the Internist, diagnostic and procedural organization, and facilitation, and assist in the short- and long-term management of their patients. This candidate ideally has a basic understanding of the various diseases seen in Internal Medicine and must possess a strong passion and motivation for further learning. About the job: The surgery department at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is comprised of 4 board-certified surgeons, a surgery intern, and rotating interns. Because we are a referral hospital, we see a lot of unique and challenging cases. We are looking for technicians who are flexible, adaptable, and driven and who have an interest in advancing their anesthesia skills, surgical knowledge, and patient care.
