Join the Developer Platform Experience team under Platform Engineering as our next Software Engineer (L3).
About the job
We are actively recruiting for this role to fill an existing vacancy. This position will help users interact with Twilio’s internal developer platform, manage our software taxonomy and cloud infrastructure inventory, accelerate developer productivity via self-service tools, and drive adoption of engineering best practices throughout the company.
In the near term the team is focused on modernization, working to transition away from in-house legacy systems to cloud-native platform solutions.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop, test, and deploy backend, frontend, and client-side applications for internal use at Twilio
- Collaborate with teammates and guest contributors via peer reviews, planning exercises, and pair programming
- Mentor junior engineers as necessary
- Write tickets, testing plans, and runbooks for the team, as well as internal documentation for users
- Support internal users and ensure system uptime by participating in a 24x7 weekly on-call rotation
- Continuously improve Twilio’s internal developer platform interfaces, local development tools, and platform onboarding processes
- Independently own medium-sized features, authoring specifications and designs for features of moderate complexity

Responsibilities
As a Salesforce Administrator in our GTM Automation team, you will get to know our unique business processes and how to build and maintain the systems that power them. In this role, you will be responsible for improving our Salesforce.com platform and ensuring data excellence across the organization. You will be challenged to think creatively about how to reshape existing processes to become more efficient and your work will be integral to supporting impactful programs managed by the team to contribute to the success of the sales team and support Twilio’s fast growth.
- Assist project managers and product Owners in various work streams on Salesforce.com
- Data management in Salesforce.com and other business systems, including auditing and resolving data integrity at a large scale.
- Collaborate with CPQ and Opportunity Life Cycle Management teams to uncover process gaps and develop elegant solutions
- Work with Opportunity Life Cycle Management/CPQ value streams to deliver the strategic projects

About the job
This position is needed to lead Twilio's Platform Engineering Secure Supply Chain team, which provides critical infrastructure for software development across the company. The team owns systems spanning source control management, build systems, and artifact management, ensuring secure and efficient software delivery for all of Twilio.
