YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Data Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our Development team and advancing our mission to end the abuse of animals raised for food. You will ensure the timely processing of gifts,  accurate data updates, and the overall integrity of our donor data. Your work will be essential to ensure that our data is reliable, well maintained, and able to support strong donor relationships and drive meaningful impact. You will be responsible for processing and importing third-party gifts, maintaining high standards of data quality through ongoing database hygiene and oversight, and supporting consistent data practices across systems. You will contribute to managing and updating process documentation, and providing operational support to the team.  Your work provides the foundation for effective donor stewardship, accurate reporting, and data informed decision making across the team.

You are a great candidate for this role if you are a detail oriented and process driven thinker, with strong attention for  technical accuracy, organization, and data management. You focus on producing reliable work, improving workflows, and creating clear documentation that supports consistency and  long-term operational success.

This is a part-time (28 hours/week), remote position reporting to the Development Operations Manager. This position has optional domestic and/or international travel, equivalent to 1 or more trips per year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Gift Processing (60%)

• Serve as the primary owner of third-party gift imports, ensuring all contributions are accurately recorded in EveryAction (THL’s donor database) in a timely manner.

• Manage gift imports and data hygiene files specific to our caging company.

• Process and record additional  third-party gift types  like EFTs and stock gifts, with support from the Development Coordinator,

Data Hygiene (30%)

• Perform weekly duplicate record review and merging, following established guidelines to maintain a clean and reliable database.

• Manage monthly cleanup of primary contact designations and business/individual record structures to ensure proper classification and maintain data integrity.

• Conduct routine data updates, including record corrections, suppressions, and standardization efforts in alignment with data governance and compliance requirements..

• Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date donor records, including contact information, recognition preferences, and communication preferences.

• Identify and flag systemic data issues and recommend improvements to processes, data structures, and workflows to strengthen overall data quality.

Administrative Support (10%)

• Maintain and update standard operating procedures to reflect current workflows and ensure clarity and consistency across the Development Operations team.. Help ensure documentation and data practices are organized, accessible, and aligned with team standards.

• Assist in preparing, cleaning, and formatting data for reporting, list generation, and internal requests.

• Support the Development Operations team with any data related tasks and process improvements as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Technology: Comfortable using software tools for data tracking, reporting, and collaborative project management. Experience with Google Sheets and/or Excel, with the ability to create and manage highly detailed spreadsheets and datasets using basic formulas. Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly and independently.

• Development Data Experience: Direct experience supporting fundraising or development operations through the management of donor data in a CRM system. Proven ability to process gifts, maintain data accuracy, and execute routine data hygiene tasks in a high accuracy, process driven environment. Nonprofit experience is preferred. 

• Donor Gift Processing and Financial Acumen: Experience supporting fundraising or development operations, including working with donor data and gift processing in a CRM system or similar. Demonstrated understanding of soft crediting, attribution, and donor recognition, with the ability to apply these accurately in practice. Comfortable supporting routine financial and gift related processes, and supporting budget preparation and monitoring by gathering data and preparing basic reports. 

• Organization: Highly detail oriented and takes initiative to identify and resolve inconsistencies and inaccuracies. Demonstrated ability to balance multiple simultaneous and complex projects, tasks, and deadlines with strong planning and organization skills. Ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate internal systems and processes. 

• Verbal and Written Communication: Able to engage with staff, donors, and external partners in a thoughtful and approachable manner. Communicates information clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats. 

• Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Actively participates in team projects, activities, and discussions, demonstrating a willingness to learn from and support colleagues. Compensation and Benefits -

Salary range: $34,137–$41,723 for candidates in the USA

The Open Wing Alliance (OWA), a program of The Humane League, is a global coalition of approximately 80 animal protection organizations across 70+ countries united in a common goal: to end the abuse of chickens worldwide. For the past several years, we have focused our efforts on eliminating battery cages by securing cage-free policies from major retailers, restaurants, and manufacturers, and in Europe many groups are now working to secure commitments for chickens bred for meat. OWA groups share tactics, support and resources to secure meaningful wins for animals, specializing in institutional campaigning that can be tailored to our members’ unique circumstances and challenges.

As the Associate Director of OWA Europe, you will lead the strategic development and execution of our OWA work in Europe, manage and develop regional staff, and strengthen the effectiveness and alignment of OWA member organizations. You will play a key role in expanding OWA’s presence and impact, supporting coordinated corporate campaigns, and ensuring regional efforts contribute to broader organizational goals that ultimately result in real change for animals.

This position requires a strong understanding of corporate campaigning or coalition-based advocacy, as well as the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across diverse cultural and regional contexts. You will work closely with internal teams and OWA members to align on priorities, evaluate progress, and drive coordinated action to end the abuse of chickens across Europe. This position reports to the Director of Open Wing Alliance.

This is a full-time, remote position. To leverage a global talent pool, this position is open to candidates in the following countries: Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, or the United Kingdom. The successful candidate must be authorized to work in and reside within one of these specified countries whilst undertaking this role. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Management 

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of regional staff (two direct reports), setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.

• Establish strong team structures, workflows, and performance expectations to ensure effective delivery of regional goals.

Strategy

• Develop and lead the execution of OWA’s strategy across Europe, ensuring alignment with global priorities and organizational goals.
• Translate coalition-wide goals into clear regional plans, setting priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring effective execution across the region and subregions. 
• Guide decision-making on regional campaign priorities, member support, and resource allocation.
• Oversee grant decisions in OWA Europe, ensuring funds are allocated to the most impactful areas.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of OWA Europe’s regional strategies and initiatives, using data and insights to refine approaches and improve outcomes.
• Identify emerging opportunities, risks, trends in the European corporate campaigning and advocacy landscapes. Stay up to date on the wider European animal movement progress, e.g. political developments.

Coalition & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with member organizations, advising on campaign strategy and supporting coordination across countries and regions.
• Foster alignment and collaboration among member groups, addressing challenges and facilitating effective coordination when needed.

Program Oversight & Operations

• Oversee regional program delivery, ensuring effective coordination of campaigns, member support, and coalition initiatives. 
• Support the development and implementation of systems, processes, and tools that improve coordination, communication and effectiveness across the region. 

Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate closely with leadership and internal teams to ensure alignment on regional work with broader organizational strategy. 
• Delivers information as required for reporting on work to date for the Development team and external reports
• Contribute to organizational reporting, providing updates on regional progress, challenges and outcomes.
• Represent The Humane League and the Open Wing Alliance in the Europe region at conferences, events and external meetings.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As Digital Advertising Lead, you will lead the execution and optimization of THL's digital advertising program during a parental leave coverage period. Your responsibilities include implementing and optimizing ad campaigns across multiple objectives and platforms, managing day-to-day ad performance, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to deliver high-impact digital advertising.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Digital Ad Campaign Execution 

Execute campaigns and use iterative optimization tactics to maximize the efficacy of ad sets across:

• Supporter Acquisition: Drive qualified online supporter acquisition through targeted ad campaigns

• Supporter Engagement: Maintain pressure on corporate targets by driving supporters to action at key campaign moments

• Supporter Retention: Execute retargeting campaigns to maintain supporter connections

• Fundraising: Implement evergreen and quarterly fundraising campaigns for donor acquisition, retention, and monthly giving, in collaboration with the Development team

• Corporate Engagement: Execute corporate campaign ads and targeted outreach initiatives

• Public Policy: Support time-sensitive legislative action campaigns

• Other initiatives: Support ad campaigns for merch promotion, organizing recruitment, event promotion, and other organizational priorities as needed

Content Coordination

• Select compelling visuals and write persuasive ad copy for campaigns

• Coordinate with THL's Video and Design teams to produce ad assets as needed

• Partner with THL's Content team to support landing page optimization for ad-driven conversions

• Provide input on ad creative and help guide development of visual assets

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor daily performance and spending of ads (Monday - Friday), ensuring campaigns stay within budget

• Track KPIs and campaign performance across all active ad sets

• Compile monthly performance reports with key insights and recommendations

• Identify trends and suggest optimization opportunities based on performance data

Budget Management

• Manage day-to-day allocation of advertising budgets across campaigns

• Work with the AVP of Digital Engagement, Digital Engagement Team, and other stakeholders to align ad campaigns with organizational communication needs

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Experience: Experience running and optimizing digital ads on platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), and Google. Must be able to complete Meta advertiser verification to run ads targeting U.S. audiences.

As the Associate Director of Campaigns, you will lead the development and execution of campaigns to advance THL and OWA’s missions, shaping strategies that drive measurable animal welfare impact. This role requires a strategic and innovative leader who can design and implement effective campaign plans, oversee complex projects, and make high-stakes decisions to maximize results. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment on corporate targets, resource allocation, and organizational priorities. 

As a thought leader in the animal protection movement, the Associate Director of Campaigns will influence industry-wide approaches, cultivate partnerships, with particular emphasis on serving as a strong and influential external representative of THL and OWA. This position plays a critical role in advancing THL’s corporate animal welfare commitments in the US and globally, ensuring measurable improvements for millions of animals annually. Following a recent organizational realignment, this role will play an important part in strengthening team cohesion, building trust, and supporting managers through change while maintaining strong campaign performance.

This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Associate Vice President of Corporate Engagement. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee THL’s corporate campaigns & strategy-setting

• Develop, manage, assess, and communicate THL’s Corporate Campaigns plans and strategies in support of the Corporate Engagement team’s objectives.

• Observe other organizations within and outside animal protection to identify emerging approaches and incorporate relevant best practices to THL’s strategy.

• Manage the team’s campaign budget and resource allocation to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic prioritization.

• Manage the overall performance of our efforts to develop and execute new, innovative, and high-impact strategies and tactics against key food companies.

• Regularly assess the performance of campaigns, utilizing data-driven decision-making to analyze results, adjust tactics, and ensure the achievement of policy goals. Foster an environment where campaigns are continuously refined using insights from data analysis.

• Coordinate with the Corporate Relations team and other departments to align on priorities, target selection, and other strategic opportunities, ensuring smooth cross-departmental collaboration.

• Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities by addressing challenges in real-time, working with the team to identify viable solutions and act decisively to mitigate any negative impacts on campaign success.

• Orchestrate plans to meet short-term benchmarks in line with long-term goals, proactively identifying roadblocks and opportunities.

• Serve as the primary decision-maker for campaign strategy and high-risk or resource-intensive tactics within the Corporate Campaigns program, in alignment with the Associate VP of Corporate Engagement.

• Be closely involved in building the strategy for significant targets and ensure strategic consistency across global campaigns.

Manage the Campaigns team

• Empower, mentor, and coach your direct reports to set and implement goals aligned with organizational strategy, develop professional skills, and maintain consistent, high-quality performance and job satisfaction.

• Support Campaigns Managers in effectively managing their direct reports, coaching them to solve challenges, and helping them instill a drive for excellence and accountability. 

• Regularly review and approve campaign plans, communications, and tactical strategies to ensure alignment with overarching program goals and tactics implemented by the campaigners in their campaigns.

• Lead strategic planning sessions and cross-team ideation, while encouraging a focus on measurement, evaluation, and learning. 

• Ensure campaigners have proper training, resources, support, and tools to effectively campaign against food companies and secure animal welfare victories.

• Set team culture, norms, performance expectations and goals that promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Act as an influential leader in the animal protection movement

• Serve as a topic expert on campaigns, internally and externally, representing THL and OWA in coalition spaces, industry dialogues, and public facing opportunities as appropriate.

• Cultivate and manage relationships with external partners, guiding us towards a more collaborative and effective animal protection movement. Maintain regular contact to ensure there’s alignment across targets and tactics. 

• Work alongside the Director of Corporate Engagement and Associate Director of Corporate Relations to develop long-term strategies, and communicate these persuasively to stakeholders

• Serve as a diplomatic and influential point of contact for OWA members and external stakeholders.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Global Digital Mobilization Lead, you will help to mobilize online activists around the world to help win global campaigns for animals. You will be instrumental in bringing our global mobilization strategy to life as you oversee and manage a variety of complementary digital mobilization tools. Your work will drive caring individuals to take action to end animal cruelty, provide crucial support for our global campaigns through leveraging digital advocacy tools. You will serve as a vital link between the Digital Mobilization team and Programs teams, ensuring that The Humane League’s (THL) supporters are effectively engaged in international work while simultaneously empowering Open Wing Alliance (OWA) member groups to build their own regional power and secure victories through our shared campaigns.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE), remote position. We are only able to consider applicants who reside in either Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Ireland, Peru, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States, and who possess work authorization in the country in which they reside. To the extent permitted by law, in order to enable collaboration with other global team members, you may be required to work occasional hours outside of 9am - 5pm, depending on your time zone. This position provides the opportunity for optional domestic and international travel, equivalent to 1 or more trips per year. 

This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Digital Mobilization; the Sr. Digital Mobilization Lead will be stepping in as interim manager for leave coverage until January 4, 2027.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Global Campaign Coordination: Maintain strong coordination with the Programs team to align digital mobilization needs with high-priority global campaigns, ensuring digital supporter actions are strategically planned, timed, accurate, and effective.

• Member Group Empowerment: Produce and distribute digital action-driving assets that enable OWA member groups to engage their own lists directly in campaigns, enabling them to drive online actions in ways that build independent power and loyalty to their respective organizations.

• THL Supporter Engagement: Partner across the Digital Engagement team to plan and facilitate THL supporter engagement with global campaign actions.

• Online Action Facilitation: Configure and maintain global campaign actions within web-based systems across multilingual platforms that serve international audiences. Deploy a diverse suite of digital tools (such as petitions, email actions, and web-based tactics) to activate key regions and win campaigns.

• Quality Assurance (QA): Lead QA efforts to ensure all digital actions you deploy are thoroughly tested and user-friendly.

• Tracking & Optimization: Monitor engagement and utilize internal analytics to build reports and draw insights and recommendations on ways to improve global supporter engagement.

• Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with team members across Programs and Digital Mobilization to introduce novel tactics and address emerging digital mobilization needs, providing training as needed.

• Resource Development: With guidance and support from the Associate Director of Digital Mobilization, create resources, templates, presentations, or "playbooks" that assist OWA member groups to take full advantage of our action-driving suite of tools to help them grow their own digital audiences and adopt best practices for digital advocacy.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in digital campaigning or mobilization. Demonstrated comfort using complex web-based systems and digital advocacy tools and foundational independent troubleshooting skills. Experience with navigating and delivering multilingual platforms and troubleshooting technical setups with proprietary translation tools is nice to have, though not required. 

• Digital Tool Expertise: Experience managing digital advocacy tools, CRMs, or mobilization platforms (e.g., EveryAction, Engaging Networks, or similar), with a focus on maximizing conversion and engagement.

• Data Analysis: Results-driven and analytical mindset. Ability to independently collect, organize, and analyze data. Identifies trends, generates reports, and draws preliminary insights to help inform short- and long-term strategies.

• Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to teach others through a range of digital and in-person mediums and express complex ideas in clear and easy-to-understand terms to stakeholders with varying degrees of technical expertise. Proficiency in breaking down and documenting processes into clear steps.

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Strong coordination skills to facilitate alignment between the Programs team and the Digital Mobilization team, ensuring seamless execution of campaign tactics.

• Strategic Thinking: Ability to zoom out and understand high-level campaign goals in order to ensure digital activism remains aligned with strategic outcomes—including campaign wins and building long-term regional power.

• Global Awareness: Sound understanding of the diverse contexts in which OWA member groups operate, with an ability to tailor mobilization tactics for broad, international audiences.

• Adaptability: Willingness to experiment with new tools and move away from legacy systems when data suggests other channels are more effective at driving engagement.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Learning & Development Strategy

• In partnership with the People Leadership Team, develop and implement a learning and development strategy that is aligned with the organization’s needs and objectives, addresses skill gaps, considers different learning styles and fosters a culture of continuous learning.

• Conduct regular training needs assessments in collaboration with the Directors of People. Build, launch and manage a global and U.S. training calendar, ensuring consistent delivery of manager, leadership, and staff development programming.

• Coordinate with external vendors and training providers to source, evaluate, and manage training programs and resources.

• Consider implementing a Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its effective use for course enrollment, tracking, reporting, and maintenance of training records.

Performance Management Process (PMP)

• Design, implement, and manage the organization wide performance management system, including annual reviews, goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and ongoing feedback mechanisms.

• Coach and train managers on effective global performance feedback and documentation best practices to ensure fair and consistent application of policies, whilst complying with local labor laws.

• Drive a culture of high performance and continuous development by linking performance outcomes to compensation, recognition, and employee development strategies, in collaboration with the Directors of People.

• Collaborate with the broader people team to bring THLs competency frameworks to life and incorporate them into the performance management process.

• Own and continuously improve the effectiveness of performance management systems, tools and resources to ensure they are meeting the organization's needs, including adoption, completion rates, quality of feedback, and manager consistency

• Administrate the performance management process including determining timelines, providing support and gathering feedback on the PMP.

Compliance

• Ensure that all staff members are assigned and complete any compliance training required by THL and/or specific to their city, state, or country; this includes trainings on discrimination, sexual harassment, and IT security.

• Partner with People Team leadership to embed compliance into organizational practices, ensuring policies and training not only meets requirements but also reinforce THL’s values and culture.

Manager Training

• Create and maintain a management development program to equip new managers or aspiring managers with the skills required.

• Working closely with the Directors of People to provide ongoing training and development opportunities to people managers. Facilitate monthly management meetings to encourage group learning and provide guidance.

• Onboard new managers, organizing training sessions with The Management Center and supplemental monthly training. 

• Create, update, and deliver manager training and resources on People-related topics, performance evaluation, and general professional development.

• Design, develop, and implement a “THL Leadership Academy” to upskill all managers and align leadership practices with THL’s values and leadership persona.

Staff Training

• Design, create, procure, and deliver a variety of engaging learning materials, to suit differing learning styles. Ensure training content is current, effective, and utilizes best-in-class instructional design principles.

• Identify training needs throughout the organization and create comprehensive plans and materials to address them.

• Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.

• Oversee the Individual Development Plan (IDP) program; this includes identifying resources, guiding staff and managers in creating IDPs, and providing ongoing support throughout the development process.

Data and Design

• Utilize instructional design methodologies to create structured, interactive training content that caters to diverse learning styles.

• Establish metrics and evaluation methods, including manager effectiveness, employee feedback, training engagement, and performance adoption/utilization to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain organizational communications and resources on learning and development, leveraging platforms such as THL Home (our intranet), Slack, Google Drive, and newsletters to ensure employees are well-informed about training and development events and opportunities.

• Maintain up-to-date records of training and development activities, attendance, and results.

• Manage the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize impact.

As Director of Global Philanthropy, you will play a pivotal role in driving THL’s global revenue growth, building deep and lasting donor relationships, and leading the strategy for a high-performing major gifts program currently raising $6M+ annually.

We are seeking an experienced major gifts leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, and who is motivated by the opportunity to connect significant philanthropic investment to measurable global impact. You will be both a thought partner to senior leadership and a frontline fundraiser, personally cultivating and soliciting high-value donors.

This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the Associate Vice President of Donor Relations. Domestic and international travel (approx. 3+ trips/year) is required, and occasional meetings with international donors may fall outside a typical 9–5 schedule, depending on your time zone.

What You’ll Lead & Achieve

Major Gifts Leadership & Strategy

• Own the strategy and performance of a $6M+ major gifts program, with responsibility for growth, retention, and donor engagement.

• Set strategy for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors giving $10,000–$1,000,000+, connecting donor priorities to THL’s programs to maximize global impact

• Manage and mentor a team of 3 Philanthropy Officers, fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability and continuous learning.  

• Partner with program staff to create donor engagement plans, impact reports, proposal materials, and stewardship pathways.

High-Value Donor & Portfolio Management

• Manage a personal portfolio of high-value major donors and prospects, developed in partnership with Development Leadership.

• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership on high-stakes donor meetings, advising leadership on donor dynamics, philanthropic trends, and strategic opportunities.

• Build long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional funders.

Data Strategy & Cross Collaboration

• Partner with Development Operations and IT to optimize the use of THL’s CRM (EveryAction) to manage portfolios, track performance, and advance donors through the pipeline.

• Collaborate with IT to develop dashboards and KPIs that inform forecasting and long-term revenue planning.

• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Legal to ensure compliance and ethical fundraising practices, and steward donor trust.

• Collaborate with Programs staff to identify funding needs and develop strategies that secure long-term support for THL’s priorities and maximize impact.

• Support fundraising events, donor briefings, donor travel, and cultivation opportunities, representing THL at key conferences and events.

In addition to the above essential job duties, other duties may be assigned as business needs arise. These may include non-essential, marginal job duties.

Required Skills & Experience

• 9+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience, including 5+ years of major gifts experience. 

• Experience within a major gifts program raising at least $5M annually.

• Demonstrated success managing a personal portfolio generating $1M+ in annually from individual donors with proven ability to cultivate and steward major donors and philanthropic partners with professionalism, discretion, and authenticity.

• 3+ years of direct staff management, with a track record of developing high-performance teams.

• Adept at long-term planning, analyzing fundraising data, spotting trends, and setting benchmarks for success with experience using CRMs (EveryAction or similar).

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, able to craft compelling donor narratives and engage audiences including Effective Altruists.

• Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with strong project management skills and attention to detail.

• Comfort operating in global philanthropic contexts and aligning fundraising strategies with THL’s international programs and priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $119,630–$138,737 annually.
