Job Summary:
This is an entry-level position within the front office at Baptist Health IcePlex at FTL War Memorial. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality while also being very detail orientated and possessing strong customer service skills. They should be responsible, very professional and able to handle complicated situations and a variety of personalities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitate customer registration by using the point-of-sale system to register and take payments for figure skating programs, hockey leagues, private lessons, public skating, birthday parties, etc.
• Process cash/credit card payments and count out cash register at the end of each shift.
• Answer in-coming phone calls. Be able to answer any questions a caller may have, transfer them to another department as needed, and take & distribute accurate messages.
• Operate office electronics including photocopiers/scanners, Point of Sale system, telephone system and personal computers.
• Assist upper management with booking birthday parties and camp field trips.
• Greet and interact with customers to provide information about upcoming programs, camps, and events.
• Maintain a clean and organized front office. Restock program flyers as needed, inform upper management when new orders are needed.
• Help with daily projects like stuffing goodie bags, creating locker room schedule, inventory counts, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must have strong communication skills, be detailed and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to handle a fast paced environments and multiple tasks at once.

Job Summary:
An Ice Guard representative’s primary focus is to monitor the ice during all public skating sessions to ensure safe and fun environment for all participants. In addition to these duties, an Ice Guard also maintains the rental skates as instructed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitors all public session skating events both on and off the ice.
• Assists in the general maintenance and upkeep of the ice arena area including sweeping, cleaning, and other custodial duties.
• During public skating, issues skates and monitors the skate rental counter.
• Maintains rental skates as instructed.
• Supervise skating to ensure safe operations.
• Administers first-aid as required.
• Provides excellent customer service at all times and ensures that all policies are properly implemented.
• Knows emergency procedures for building and evacuation plan.
• Ensures the overall cleanliness of ice arena and rentals area.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 16 or older
• Must be able to work various hours including mid-day during the week, late afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Strong Ice-Skating skills; must be able to skate and pass a skating test.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to work.
• Prior Ice-Skating rink experience preferred.

Job Summary

The Housekeeper is a part-time position responsible for supporting safe, clean, and premium guest experience. This role reports directly to the Housekeeping Manager and plays a critical part in maintaining facility cleanliness and operational standards daily. Shifts typically range from 4 to 8 hours per shift, averaging 18 to 29 hours per week, depending on the schedule. Work hours primarily include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all guests, staff, and vendors.
• Adhere strictly to established Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Proactively identify and address housekeeping issues as they arise, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient event operations.
• Immediately report safety hazards or concerns to the Supervisor for proper assessment and resolution.
• Monitor and maintain spaces throughout, including:
• Cleaning and sanitizing
• Removing debris and waste
• Sweeping and mopping wet or dry spills
• Clean, inspect, and maintain assigned areas, including the frequent removal of waste and recycling materials during shifts.
• Promptly respond to and remediate spills (wet or dry), including debris removal and stain treatment.
• Support housekeeping-related maintenance needs, including:
• Assisting after maintenance issues such as clogged toilets or flooding
• Performing biohazard spill cleanup in accordance with safety guidelines and established protocols

 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position. Hours of work are based on schedule and are mostly days, nights, weekends and occasional holidays.

Work Environment

This role is performed within a large arena environment. Noise levels are frequently high, crowd traffic is heavy, temperatures may vary and are often cold, lighting conditions may change, and there may be occasional exposure to special effects such as pyrotechnics.

Physical Demands:

Climbing - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

Job Summary:
Curling Instructors execute and teach curling events under the direction of the Guest Experience Manager and the Lead Curling Instructor, with a goal of providing the best possible customer service experience for all participants and other team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preparation of ice for league or general play. Pebbling, cleaning, nipping the ice.
• Assists with set up and breakdown, ensuring all equipment is put in proper placements on and off the ice.
• Teach basic knowledge of rules, safety, etiquette, and game play.
• Provide stellar customer service to guests on and off ice.
• Ensuring that all reports- incident, accident, etc are filled out and turned in.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be availabile for a variety of hours, weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must have strong communication skills, be detailed and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
