As a Digital Ad Operations Specialist, you will work exclusively with TEGNA properties across various ad-serving platforms and order management systems. You’ll help manage CTV (Connected TV) and digital ad campaigns from setup to delivery, ensuring they run smoothly and meet performance goals. 

This position involves troubleshooting, campaign optimization, and quality assurance, making it ideal for individuals with strong technical skills and attention to detail.
This role includes being part of an on-call rotation after proper training. 

Responsibilities: 

• Digital Workflow & Execution: 
• Master the digital workflow between business units and Ad Operations. 
• Become proficient in ad servers and order management systems, with a focus on CTV campaign execution. 
• Campaign Scheduling & Creative Management: 
• Set up and schedule digital ad campaigns accurately, including CTV-specific ad formats and delivery methods. 
• Ensure proper execution of creative assets by understanding ad specs, templates, and ad tags (e.g., VAST/VPAID tags, dynamic ad insertion). 
• Support & Troubleshooting: 
• Provide urgent support to broadcast stations and internal stakeholders, particularly for CTV ad delivery issues. 
• Identify and resolve ad performance issues through detailed troubleshooting and quality assurance (QA). 
• Email & Workflow Management: 
• Send daily reports to stations, communicate technical information clearly, and manage service-level agreements (SLAs). 
• Consistently monitor email inboxes and respond to requests promptly. 
• Campaign Monitoring & Optimization: 
• Track campaign delivery and apply optimization strategies, such as CTV fill rate management, frequency capping, and ad podding. 
• Ensure compliance with rate card adherence and revenue margins. 
• Customer Service: 
• Collaborate with vendors and stations while maintaining a customer-friendly attitude and providing excellent service. 
• Reporting & Analytics: 
• Generate reports on campaign performance, including CTV analytics (viewability, completion rates, and ad delivery metrics). 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college or a technical-related discipline required. 
• 1-2 years of experience in ad serving platforms or ad trafficking. (3-5 years of practical experience in digital technology or advertising can substitute for a degree.) 
• Hands-on experience with CTV ad trafficking, SSAI (Server-Side Ad Insertion), and VAST/VPAID tags is a plus. 
• Strong technical skills and the ability to function effectively in a technical role. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. 
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). 
• Basic knowledge of Flash, HTML, and JavaScript is beneficial. 
• Experience with CTV ad platforms such as FreeWheel, Publica, or Google Ad Manager (GAM) is a plus.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to traffic on-air marketing inventory and maintain TEGNA digital marketing inventory. The position will be responsible for the marketing materials and copy maintenance for multiple stations within a TEGNA region. This candidate must be highly detailed, meet high standards of accuracy, have outstanding organizational skills, and be able to problem-solve under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working with WideOrbit Traffic & Sales systems, along with a strong understanding of inventory management, ad operations, and broadcast/digital sales workflows. Strong communication skills in both verbal and written form are critical to the success of this candidate. This hybrid position reports directly to the Director of Inventory & Operations and can be based in any TEGNA market.

Responsibilities:
•    Execute the entry of traffic materials for marketing assets with high accuracy while providing exceptional customer service to clients, agencies, and TEGNA stakeholders.
•    Retrieve necessary information regarding traffic instructions and materials, view materials for quality control, and ensure material locations on the material server and in WideOrbit are up-to-date and accurate.
•    Ensure marketing materials are received and logs are completed by the daily log deadline.
•    Work closely with internal regional marketing directors, marketing producers, commercial production personnel, and stakeholders professionally and respectfully.
•    Monitor station marketing contracts to ensure copy is up-to-date and accurate.
•    Proactively identify inventory gaps and opportunities to support marketing goals.
•    Process same-day log and playlist changes if necessary and ensure all materials are accurate.
•    Build and maintain relationships with the TEGNA Commercial Operations (TCO) teams and TEGNA Stream Center (TSC).
•    Manage manual inventory log changes through TSC using the Pulse platform.
•    Work with the Regional Marketing Director to determine and identify monthly priority marketing assets.
•    Maintain monthly priority and evergreen marketing asset fill lists for TSC and the Regional Marketing Directors.
•    Work with the Regional Marketing Directors to manage, integrate, and implement sales/promotion assets effectively.
•    Coordinate with the TCO team to add or reduce marketing inventory across markets.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve WideOrbit system issues and provide guidance to staff on best practices.
•    Perform additional duties as determined by the Director of Inventory & Operations.

Digital Responsibilities:
•    Collaborate with Regional Marketing Directors, Marketing Producers to ensure digital assets are valid and up-to-date.
•    Assist in developing workflows that integrate linear and digital systems.
•    Deliver feedback on process improvement to manager and director levels regularly.
•    Continuously receive feedback from the marketing team on processes and tools for improvement.
•    Traffic TEGNA local marketing assets to TEGNA’s digital product line.
•    Perform additional duties as determined by the Director of Inventory & Operations.

Reporting & Analysis
•    Generate and analyze as-run inventory reports to optimize marketing inventory.
•    Collaborate with Reginal Marketing Directors, Marketing Producers, and TEGNA Marketing stakeholders to gather and run needed marketing asset reporting.
•    Perform additional duties as determined by the Director of Inventory & Operations.

Requirements:
•    Minimum 2 years of experience in traffic or sales support in broadcast, cable, digital, or radio.
•    Have experience with client solutions, customer service, or account management from a broadcast and/or digital perspective.
•    Experience supporting internal or external marketing teams with strategy/solution development.
•    Ability to move quickly between software platforms to complete tasks.
•    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
•    Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively under deadline pressure.
•    Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are a must.
