The Role 

SoFi is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join our internal Creative Studio. You’re a self-starter, team player, and able to quickly adopt our brand tone and style across all of our communications. Your primary role will be to write branded communications across web, digital, social, blog, and print for our finance products. However, you’ll flex to other areas of the Studio as necessary. This is a contract position that will extend through the end of the year and possibly into early 2027. 

What you’ll do 

Own end-to-end concepting and copywriting for marketing projects, including but not limited to:

○ Email 

○ In app messages 

○ Social media posts 

○ Branding campaign and assets 

○ Lead gen campaigns and assets 

○ Digital videos 

○ Webpages (our site, lead gen pages, partner pages) and other interactive assets 

• Understand the data and allow it to inform your work. Be able to balance what is tried and true while continuing to push the brand.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to come up with creative solutions. 
• Collaborate closely with the Lifecycle marketing team to help craft prospect and member journeys.
• Integrate AI tools (ChatGPT, Writer, Runway, Figma AI) into your daily workflow — not as a shortcut, as a force multiplier.
• Work with stakeholders and reviewers to keep the brand voice consistent. 
• Find new ways to tell our brand story—generating ideas for how branded content can come to life across multiple channels.
• Edit and proofread your own writing, as well as all content supplied by partners and guest contributors for voice and tone.
• Work with stakeholders and reviewers to keep the brand voice consistent. 
• Be able to come up with a “big idea” and translate that into everything from email campaigns to paid social videos.
• Work across multiple projects and manage your time effectively.
• Present your work to creative leadership and stakeholders with clarity and passion.

The role

SoFi’s best-in-class in-house creative studio is looking for an experienced and highly organized Senior Interactive Project Manager to lead the execution of a comprehensive website redesign project aimed at enhancing user experience, optimizing performance, and aligning with our core product strategy. Reporting to the Associate Director of Project Management, you will act as the primary liaison between marketing creative and web teams, product marketers, and our product design and engineering teams to ensure our digital presence meets strategic goals while maintaining technical integrity.

You are technically experienced in the interactive space with a blend of rigorous project management and excellent communication skills. You understand how to navigate the complexities of modern web development—from responsive design systems to AI and API integrations—ensuring that every pixel and line of code serves the broader business objective.

Examples of initiatives you will be managing include:

• Large-scale Website Redesign: In partnership with our creative, web and product teams, manage our web redesign project from discovery to deployment.
• Design System Implementation: Supporting the creative and web/engineering team initiatives by project managing templatized systems in Figma to ensure consistency and scalability across platforms.
• Interactive Content: Coordinating with our web design and web strategy and engineering teams on complex front-end elements, including animations and dynamic UI components.
• Technical Integrations: Supporting implementation of API connections, CMS customizations, and Martech tool stacking.
• Cross-Platform Delivery: Ensuring seamless experiences across in-app environments, mobile-responsive layouts, and desktop web.

What you’ll do

• Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines while developing detailed project plans that account for technical dependencies and resource allocation.
• Technical Workflow Management: Oversee the design and development phases, ensuring that code quality meets standards and that front-end execution aligns with the original design intent.
• Front-End Liaison: Act as the "translator" between our internal web design, web strategy and engineering teams, product marketers, and product team; use your knowledge of Wordpress and HTML/CSS to troubleshoot layout issues, audit implementation, and streamline developer handoffs.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Foster strong relationships between all cross functional partners to organize workflow, prioritize backlogs, and resolve blockers.
• Stakeholder Communication: Provide high-level status updates and clearly communicate project health, technical challenges, and roadmap dependencies to executive leadership.
• Quality Assurance: Assist in the Q/A process as required. 

What you’ll need

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years specifically managing high-stakes interactive, digital, or web development projects.
• Technical Literacy: Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and web architecture. You should be comfortable inspecting code and understanding how front-end frameworks impact site performance.
• Software Experience: Expert proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Workfront) and in-depth familiarity with Figma as the source of truth for design assets.
• CMS Expertise: Deep understanding of platform ecosystems (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, or Webflow), including custom themes, plugin architecture, and content modeling.
• Interactive Savvy: Direct experience managing projects involving animation (Lottie, Rive) and the integration of third-party APIs or AI-driven tools such as Claude Code.
• Communication: Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project milestones for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• PMP, CSM, or relevant Agile certifications.
• Experience with JavaScript basics or modern front-end libraries.
• Background in a fast-paced Agency or Fintech environment.
• Familiarity with ADA/Accessibility compliance standards for the web.

The role

The Creative Studio at SoFi is looking for a talented Senior Art Director to join our best-in-class in-house agency to create and deliver a variety of exceptional marketing and advertising materials for our rapidly growing brand. Although you’ll be working across our entire suite of products, you’ll mainly be focusing on supporting our Borrow Pod: Personal Loans, Student Loan Refinancing, Private Student Loans, Home Loans.  

We’re looking for someone who is driven, forward-thinking, and nimble enough to collaborate with your creative partners on messaging as well as visual design. You also have a strong curiosity about AI, and either have experience or a deep interest in the application of AI within our creative workflows. You’ll be joining a supportive, fun team culture of creative people excited to come to work every day in order to help people get their money right.

What you’ll do:

• Look for opportunities to use enterprise-approved AI tools for day to day creative workflow efficiencies.
• Work collaboratively with fellow members of the creative, web, and development teams, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, like product marketing, lifecycle marketing, and strategy. 
• Champion the SoFi brand and user experience, and play a key role in shaping SoFi’s brand narrative.
• Be a part of our close knit in-house Creative Studio, producing award winning, first-in-class advertising and marketing materials.

What you’ll need:

• A minimum of five years working as an art director at an ad agency, in-house creative department, or freelancing for major brands.
• Must have a strong well-rounded portfolio full of beautiful, effective work that shows advanced-level conceptual and craft skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and iterate on different design options based on stakeholder and creative feedback.
• Ability to balance multiple projects with tight timelines while solving complex creative problems with little guidance. 
• You’re all about the data. You love testing design solutions and iterating based on results.
• Very comfortable collaborating with product marketers, product designers, brand strategists, and other cross functional partners. 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also supporting the larger team.
• Awesome written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Experience working in similar regulated industries, primarily FinTech and Insurance, is a plus.

Software:

• Advanced understanding of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Adobe After Effects for simple motion graphics
• Experience with Adobe Substance for 3D asset creation
• Experience with a variety of Generative AI software
