What You’ll Be Launching
As a senior member of the Data Fusion and Astrodynamics team within the Space Surveillance Systems Research and Development department, you will take a lead role advancing Slingshot’s efforts to accelerate the security, safety, and sustainability of space via the detection, tracking, identification, and characterization of satellites and space debris. This work involves leading the development of multi-sensor multi-object tracking, nonlinear state estimation, statistical signal processing, and data fusion algorithms leveraging multi-phenomenology sensor technologies, including Slingshot’s own Global Sensor Network (GSN). You will also support the development of physics and AI/ML-based algorithms and software for analytics and insights. In this role you will develop solutions across the tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) stages of the space surveillance and tracking mission.

As a Senior member of Space Surveillance Research and Development (R&D) technical staff, you will take a lead role advancing Slingshot’s efforts to accelerate the security, safety, and sustainability of space through the detection, tracking, identification, and characterization of satellites and space debris. The Payroll Accountant will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing across U.S. and U.K. operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements. This role is critical in supporting accounting operations through payroll reconciliations, reporting, and audit readiness, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll accurately and on schedule for U.S. and U.K. employees
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and UK payroll tax regulations, including withholding, unemployment, and statutory requirements
• Prepare, review, and file payroll-related tax forms (e.g., W-2, W-3, quarterly payroll tax returns)
• Ensure compliance with UK statutory payroll requirements
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts, including wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits
• Manage payroll accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close processes
• Support review and posting of timesheet submissions in partnership with Program Finance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting, payroll tax, or related function
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
• Experience with multi-state payroll
• Familiarity with UK payroll compliance requirements
• Experience with payroll systems (Rippling and Tilt preferred)

The Partner & Field Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing Slingshot’s field marketing events and supporting enablement programs for strategic partners and marketplaces. This role sits within the Marketing organization and works closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and RevOps to ensure Slingshot is represented consistently and effectively across events, partner channels, and joint go-to-market initiatives.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role ideal for someone earlier in their marketing career who enjoys managing events, building partner-facing materials, and supporting GTM programs. The Manager will own end-to-end event execution, contribute to partner enablement efforts, and help scale repeatable marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline.

Salary Range: $81,000 – $135,000
