The Role

The position is part of a dedicated team of professionals responsible for all facets of the fund accounting, corporate finance, financial reporting and investor relations functions for two Business Development Companies (“BDCs”). Sixth Street Specialty Lending, Inc. (“SLX”) is a publicly traded BDC listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol TSLX and Sixth Street Lending Partners (“SSLP”) is a private BDC.

Core Responsibilities

• Book investment activity in our internal accounting system (Advent Geneva)
• Reconcile cash activity between our internal accounting system and our Administrator (State Street)
• Assist in oversight of the accounting functions performed by our Administrator
• Assist with all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
• Assist with production and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 8-K, etc.)
• Gather info for financial statement and SOX audit requests/research questions from auditors
• Assist with preparation of various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, BDC/RIC, etc.)
• Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes

Compensation

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $100,000-120,000. The base salary offered to the selected candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by Sixth Street in its sole discretion.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package. Benefits offered currently include health, life, long-term and short-term disability insurance and a 401(k) plan. In addition, this role is eligible for paid public holidays (NYSE calendar), paid sick days pursuant to local laws, and additional reasonable time off subject to manager approval.

This is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas. Sixth Street has an immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our Portfolio Accounting team in Dallas. The Portfolio Accounting team is focused on supporting investing and accounting activities across our private equity, hybrid, and liquid credit funds. The role will be an integral part of a developing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. This individual will be involved in several facets of the operations, including counterparty management, cash management and treasury functions, and reporting and investment performance/analysis deliverables.

• Work with the Operations and Accounting teams to support, record and reconcile investing and related cash activities
• Perform investment, cash and custody reconciliations with the fund administrators and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor investment pipelines

The Role

As an Operations Associate, you will be a part of the Sixth Street Global Operations Team that is responsible for investment execution, counterparty management, pipeline and other cash management functions, project management, and reporting and investment performance/analysis deliverables. The Operations Team supports Sixth Street’s investing activities across the globe for our private credit/equity, asset-based financing (“ABF”), structured credit, hybrid, and liquid credit funds, business development companies, and separately managed accounts. • Support build out of the operational support model for structured ABF investing activities , including private funds and separately managed accounts of insurance company clients. Responsibilities include:
  • Interface directly with insurance company clients around pipeline management, asset setup, cash management, and other ad hoc inquiries

  • Trade capture across liquid and private assets in a standardized manner

The Role

This is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas. Sixth Street has an immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our Portfolio Accounting team in Dallas. The Portfolio Accounting team is focused on supporting investing and accounting activities across our private equity, hybrid, and liquid credit funds. The role will be an integral part of a developing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. This individual will be involved in several facets of the operations, including counterparty management, cash management and treasury functions, and reporting and investment performance/analysis deliverables.

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the Operations and Fund Accounting teams to support, record and reconcile investing and related cash activities
• Ensure the timely and accurate booking of fund investments in compliance with GAAP to Sixth Street’s accounting and other key systems. Oversee the reconciliation of such activities to the Funds’ Administrator.
• Provide oversight of the Funds’ Administrator
• Assist with the production of daily and monthly reporting that is distributed to all investment professionals and firm management
• Assist in certain automation and other technology builds.
• Maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
• Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues
• Manage and perform special projects and analysis

• Experience with alternative investments, credit and structured products investments, private equity and partnership accounting, fund administration, and Advent Geneva are preferred
• Experience with investment performance reporting and analytics are a plus
• Strong accounting and excel skills; professional certification (CPA or equivalent)

The Role

Sixth Street has an immediate opening for a bright, hard-working individual to join our team as a Fund Accounting Analyst or Senior Analyst to support several of our investment funds in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment. This person will be involved in several facets of the funds’ accounting, financial reporting, cash management, investor reporting, and fund performance/analysis deliverables.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting responsibilities within the monthly, quarterly, annual closing cycles
• Assist in oversight of the Funds’ Administrator
• Manage investor reporting and requests including capital calls, distributions, and reporting
• Assist with quarterly valuation process
• Assist fundraising team in preparing fund marketing documents
• Liaison with investment professionals on structuring, cash movements and investment performance
• Assist with complex waterfall and management fee calculations
• Manage the fund audit process and research questions from auditors
• Assist with various compliance reports (e.g., credit facility, limited partnership agreement, ect. )
• Assist with fund expense reporting and analysis
• Manage and perform special projects and analysis for firm leadership
• Identify and help solve for critical accounting and reporting issues

The Role

This is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas. As a Management Company Accounting Reporting Manager, you will be a part of the Management Company Accounting Team and serve as the end-to-end owner of the accounting and reporting functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for non-compensation expense analysis, business unit reporting and other management and financial accounting functions.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle
• Perform a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit
• Assist with the management of expense codes and corresponding allocation rules
• Responsible for all facets of the expense allocation close process including reviewing and analyzing all expenses booked, and understanding the related allocation methodologies of these expenses to the management companies
• Manage the process of analyzing non-compensation expenses across the management company structure
• Manage consolidated quarterly financial reporting including financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
• Present quarterly financial results to leadership
• Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
• Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practice
• Interact with different departments in the firm including Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable
• Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership

What We Value

• Qualified candidates should possess an Accounting or Finance degree and have 7-10 years of financial reporting and analysis experience
• Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
• Professional certifications (CPA or equivalent)
• Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting

Preferred

• Candidate should be well versed in Excel and have G/L and reporting experience
• Candidate must possess strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written) and analytical skills
• Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices
• Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive
• Adept at problem solving
• Deadline-oriented to meet time-sensitive regulatory and contractual requirements
• Candidate must possess project management skills in order prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrently
