You are a highly analytical and experienced Process Engineer with a strong background in chemical plant operations including rotating equipment. You are adept at using data and process simulation to monitor, optimize and support complex chemical processes. You possess exceptional troubleshooting skills to maintain continuous, safe, and efficient production, and you are comfortable leading technical projects in a dynamic, high-growth manufacturing setting.

The starting base pay for this role is between $121,000 and $142,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Sila’s Manufacturing Engineering team in Moses Lake is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the reliable operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of Sila’s first-in-class Silicon Carbon anode manufacturing process. This role blends advanced mechanical design, hands-on troubleshooting, fabrication expertise, and equipment reliability engineering.
The ideal candidate brings strong CAD and drafting capabilities, practical industrial experience, and a deep commitment to safety and functional design. You will work both independently and cross-functionally to solve complex operational challenges, develop practical engineering solutions, and support R&D and production initiatives. This role offers opportunities to lead projects, influence reliability strategy, solve technical problems and design for manufacture, operability and cost management.
The starting base pay for this role is between $105,000 and $140,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

You are a self-starter, experienced, capable Controls and Electrical Engineer with an aptitude for learning new things and taking complex projects across the finish line. As the main electrical engineer for our industrial manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for deploying, modifying, and improving industrial electrical power systems and power equipment. You will also be a key member of the Controls team, contributing to machine control software, instrumentation, and programming. You have excellent communication skills to harmoniously collaborate with a wide range of skill sets: from scientists to technicians during the deploy stage, to out-of-house service providers across big, complicated interfaces during the build stage.
