Our Story
Riverside began in 2013 when Nima Fotovat, one of the founders, couldn't find a tasty, healthy, snack that was also safe for school for his son. So he teamed up with his siblings, Salma and Sahba Fotovat, to launch Riverside's first brand, MADEGOOD. The commitment to sell products that everyone could trust and enjoy came from the family’s lifelong relationship with healthy foods - to create products that provide exceptional nutrition and great taste to customers and their families, but in a way that respects the environment and the people in the community. As a result, Riverside became a certified B Corp Corporation, reflecting the commitment to consider people, the planet and as well as performance in every decision. Position Summary/Objective:
Candidate will provide regulatory guidance and technical support to the company, our customers and vendors. Support other departments to ensure ingredients, packaging and products are in accordance with applicable food laws, regulations, claims and certifications. Must stay on top of existing standards and changes to assess and communicate their impact to the business. Must be a detail oriented, critical thinker, motivated and adaptable to a fast-moving environment.
Key Accountabilities and Activities:
- Demonstrate Riverside Core Values at all times.
- Provide support to Quality, R&D, Marketing, Sales and other internal partners on regulatory matters; recommend options and implement solutions to resolve problems using food science, nutrition and regulatory knowledge.
- Proactively takes OWNERSHIP to identify potential regulatory hitches and acts collaboratively, to reduce or eliminate them.
- Prepare and communicate technical / regulatory information related to our product portfolio to our customer base to address inquiries via Microsoft Office or Customer/Vendor Software.
- Participate in ingredient and artwork review and approval to ensure it meets formula and regulatory requirements of destination market.
- Interacts with external organizations to ensure timely compliance with all set criteria, including but not limited to: Gluten Free, Kosher, Non-GMO, Organic, Vegan, RSPO and other programs; keeping databases and backups up-to-date and accurate.
- Complete applications to support new product registrations, product renewals, and licensing.
- Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of domestic and international regulations related to food safety, packaging and labelling for product portfolio.

- Create and maintain Product Label Reports for all food products (branded and customer).
- Keeps the work atmosphere FUN by keeping it light and welcoming.
- Assist other departments as required.
Reporting Relationships
The position reports directly to the Regulatory Affairs Manager. It has no direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Science Degree or Diploma (Preference for specialization in Nutrition/Food Science/Regulatory Affairs).
- PASSIONATE and working knowledge of domestic and global food labeling regulations.
- Expertise in R&D Genesis (or equivalent Food Formulation Software) and Microsoft Office.
- Skill to research regulatory issues and lead/influence resolution.
- Ability to be persuasive, assertive while also being collaborative with diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with follow through abilities.
- Must be self-starter, organized, detail oriented and be able to prioritize tasks.
- Aptitude to exhibit, RESPECT and protect Riverside’s Core Values in a changing environment.
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborate.
- Understanding of food qualities, nutritional content, interactions and processing methods.

- Licensed trades (433A, 442A, 309A): $40.25/hr - $45.25/hr

Position Summary/Objective:
As a Licensed Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order scheduling including reactive and preventative maintenance for technical and non-technical components.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.
- Understand and lead compliance with both Health and Safety and Food Safety practices.
- Attending breakdown call. Independently troubleshoot and resolve both mechanical and electrical issues.
- Escalate recurring problems to supervisor and work on eliminating them.
- Perform minor repairs, equipment set up, change over, overhaul, fabrication as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment including food mixer, slab forming machine, horizontal wrapper, robotic pick and place system, case packer, tunnel oven, conveyors, etc.
- Provide technical assistant / advice in Preventive Maintenance optimization effort.
- Assist outside contractors and ensure GMP policies are being adhered to.
- Performs work in accordance with established maintenance processes and practices including but not limited to recording work done, recording data for analysis, logging spare parts consumed, cleaning up work area, etc.
- Participate in cross functional continuous improvement initiative.
- Responsible for the highest standards of housekeeping & safety in all aspects of the job.
- Other duties as assigned.

- This position report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor
Key Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Millwright Mechanic, Maintenance technician or Electrician
- Required certified NOC 7311 or "Red Seal" Millwright Mechanics or Provincial Electricians Ticket (433A, 442A, 309D)
- Working experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven is an asset
- Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Hands on working experience with the following is preferred
- Power transmission systems
- Electric and electronic controls
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Welding, brazing, and soldering
- Servo and electric motors
- lubrication types and systems
- Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press
- Rigging and hoisting experience is an asset
- Flexibility to work afternoons and weekends

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Associate Product Lifecycle Management professional to oversee end-to-end product lifecycle activities, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient execution with minimal inventory impact. This role involves leading new product launches, orchestrating cross-functional teams, and driving product optimization initiatives and reports to the Product Lifecycle Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle activities including renovations, transitions, and delistings.

Position Summary:
As an Lead Industrial Electrician 422A/309A you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order management including reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all technical and non-technical components.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overall
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.
- Direct and lead maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, repair of all production equipment and resolve equipment related issues.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team, Planner and Parts Clerk to Maintain equipment and parts inventory using available resources to continuously minimize downtime and organize Maintenance Workshop
- Conduct major equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure that it is fully operational and safe to operate and within schedule requirements.
- Ensure staff are well trained in health and safety standards and proper environmental practices within the plant and the Maintenance Department
- Be the embodiment and example of ADAPTABILITY and composure in times of volatility, uncertainty, and ambiguity.
- Provide support to the team across all weekdays and shifts as needed in instances of vacation, and other instances.
- Be the first adopter of new Maintenance strategies and initiatives encouraging participation and adoption amongst the Team.
- CMMS usage and Feedback to add value to the Maintenance strategy.
- Develop and maintain a Continuous Improvement and Open mindset amongst technicians.

Maintenance
- Understand and lead compliance with both Health and Safety and Food Safety practices.
- Inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair food processing equipment and machinery to ensure the equipment is always in proper working order.
- Ensures Maintenance activities meet the required standards of precise highly automated equipment.
- Ensure the Maintenance TEAM members are required to be responsive to production needs and equipment failures.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on complicated and/or recurring automation failure modes. This will include reaching out to a 3rd party, performing risk analysis, evaluating potential causes, and assessing data.
- Independently conduct/coordinate the following assigned activities:
- Equipment set up and changeover.
- Conduct High Quality and documented Preventative and Reactive maintenance
- Assist with Facilities renovation and maintenance as necessary.
- Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as Sono scope, voltmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot malfunctions and make repairs as needed.

Position Summary:
As Riverside Natural Foods continues its business transformation journey, we are investing in leading-edge data and analytics capabilities to support long-term, values-based growth. A key pillar of this transformation is the evolution of a trusted data ecosystem as a foundation for our Business Intelligence and AI strategy.
The Enterprise Data & Generative AI Engineer plays a central role in building and operating the data foundation that powers analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI across the organization. This role spans cloud lakehouse platforms (Databricks or Snowflake), syndicated commercial data (e.g., POS, Nielsen), IoT/PLC data from production lines, unstructured data sources, and SAP Datasphere. The engineer ensures that all enterprise data domains are integrated into a governed, scalable, AI‑ready Data Fabric that supports advanced analytics and GenAI applications.
This individual must be a self-starter with strong communication skills, a positive outlook, curiosity, and a deep understanding of SAP-centric enterprise data architecture with other modern lakehouse data ecosystems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Pipeline Engineering
- Support the execution of Riverside’s BI and AI Strategy in alignment with enterprise priorities.
- Design and implement scalable ingestion pipelines across different application platforms, including POS feeds, Nielsen syndicated data, IoT/PLC data, and unstructured sources such as documents, logs, and images.
- Support the reliable delivery of current reports consumed by the business and their transition to better designed technology.
- Optimize pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability across the Data Fabric.
6-12 months Horizon:
- Build ELT/ETL workflows that support analytics, ML, and GenAI use cases across structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured data based on business priorities.
- Develop real‑time or near‑real‑time data flows for AI‑driven applications using event‑driven architectures.
Enterprise Data Architecture
- Model and harmonize SAP S/4HANA data structures while integrating them with external commercial, operational, and sensor data in collaboration with the SAP Analytics Lead.
- Integrate SAP and non‑SAP data into Databricks or Snowflake to support advanced analytics, ML, and GenAI workloads.
- Contribute to the design of a unified Data Fabric that supports cross‑domain analytics and AI.
Data Governance, Quality & Observability
- Implement data quality rules, lineage tracking, and metadata management across SAP, cloud, IoT, and syndicated data sources.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor data drift, embedding drift, and AI‑specific data quality indicators.
Platform Engineering & Automation
- Use infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD to deploy and manage data pipelines and lakehouse components.
- Automate documentation, testing, and pipeline optimization using GenAI‑assisted tools.
- Contribute to the design of enterprise data products that are versioned, governed, and AI‑ready.
AI/ML & Generative AI Enablement (emerging area)
- Prepare curated datasets for ML model training, LLM fine‑tuning, and enterprise GenAI applications.
- Build pipelines for document processing, chunking, and embedding generation to support Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Implement and maintain vector databases or embedding stores.
- Support synthetic data generation and data augmentation workflows.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to operationalize model training, evaluation, and monitoring
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with key resources in BT&T and business stakeholders to understand priorities and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions that support analytics and GenAI use cases.
- Provide technical guidance on data architecture decisions involving SAP Datasphere, Databricks, Snowflake, and IoT/OT data platforms.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of CPG experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics roles preferred.

- Proven experience with IoT/OT data ingestion and industrial data protocols as well as hybrid SAP + cloud analytics architectures.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL and Python for data engineering.

Position Summary/Objective:
As a Maintenance Millwright 433A or Electrician 422A you are responsible for contributing to the company’s operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order management including reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all technical and non-technical components.
Primary Responsibilities:
Overall
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s Core Values.
- Cooperate with maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, repair of all production equipment and resolution of equipment related issues.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance team and Parts Clerk to Maintain equipment and parts inventory using available resources to continuously minimize downtime and organize Maintenance Workshop
- Contribute and participate in equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure that it is fully operational and safe to operate and within schedule requirements.
- Ensure your work and your colleagues work complies with Quality, health and safety standards and proper environmental practices within the plant and the Maintenance Department
- Be the embodiment and example of ADAPTABILITY and composure in times of volatility, uncertainty, and ambiguity.
- Provide support to the team across all weekdays and shifts as needed in instances of vacation, and other instances as requested.
- Be a quick adopter of new Maintenance strategies and initiatives encouraging participation and adoption amongst the Team.
- Effectively uses CMMS and give Feedback to add value to the Maintenance strategy.
- Develop and maintain a Continuous Improvement and Open mindset amongst technicians.
- Provide and document continuous feedback to all technicians in such a manner to continuously develop skills and motivate them.
Maintenance
- Understand and comply with both Health and Safety, GMP and Food Safety practices.
- Inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair food processing equipment and machinery to ensure the equipment is always in proper working order.
- Ensures Maintenance activities meet the required standards of precise highly automated equipment.
- Ensure the Maintenance TEAM members are required to be responsive to production needs and equipment failures.
- Independently conduct/coordinate the following assigned activities:
- Equipment set up and changeover.
- Conduct High Quality and documented Preventative, Corrective and Reactive maintenance
- Assist with Facilities renovation and maintenance as necessary.
- Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as Sonoscope, voltmeters and other testing devices to troubleshoot malfunctions and make repairs as needed.
- Ability to take OWNERSHIP and work independently without supervision, meet tight deadlines.
- Prepare notes on learnings, contribute to procedures, notes of observations and training to share with the broader maintenance team for overall growth and development.
- Contribute to maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Exemplify GRIT in the pursuit of resolving Emergency repairs, Trouble shooting, creating a harmonious and effective maintenance team.
- Record all maintenance and repair services performed, keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge sharing by mentoring, training, and guiding activities of junior and other Maintenance Technicians.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects to improve equipment performance.

- Performs regular technical and non-technical component monitoring, inspection and repairs including preventative and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Ensures all work is completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
- Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded, and escalated, and that related documents are maintained.
- Ensure facilities are always kept to GMP, CFIA and BRC standards. Participates in preparation for audits and inspections.
- Exemplify RESPECT in your working relationships with all Key Internal Stakeholders (Maintenance Team, Other department peers, parts clerk, procurement officer etc.) and External Stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, OEM representatives etc.)
- Identify Gaps (Skills, Knowledge, Core Values) within the maintenance team and take appropriate steps to address them.
- Flexibility to workday, afternoons and nights shifts temporarily to support production, based on the need for coverage.

Administration
- Collaborate with the planner to schedule and prioritize related work orders
- Ensure that maintenance/service work is performed as required while following GMP and food building compliance.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects as required.
- Assists in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through a positive and enthusiastic work ethic.
- Contributes to and participates in Performance Assessments of other technicians.
- Documenting coordinating and facilitating efficient pre shift and handover meetings to ensure smooth transitions between shifts.

Education & Qualifications
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Millwright 433A or Electrician 422A.
- Working experience with equipment such as vertical wrapper, horizontal wrappers, robotics pick and place, tunnel oven is an asset.
- Knowledge of PLC, robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen Bradley) preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings, procedures and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on work experience with the following is preferred.

The IT Security & Operations Specialist supports Riverside’s cybersecurity operations and selected IT administration activities. This role is responsible for monitoring and responding to security events, administering key Microsoft security controls, supporting phishing and awareness programs, and helping maintain secure identity, endpoint, and collaboration environments. The role also provides hands-on support for selected IT operational processes, including user lifecycle management, endpoint administration, and coordination with Infrastructure and Helpdesk teams. Success in this role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance security priorities with day-to-day operational support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor SIEM, EDR, and other security tools for suspicious activity and security alerts.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Conduct root cause analysis and maintain detailed incident documentation.
- Track and manage Incident and Change Request SLAs.
- Coordinate and execute phishing simulation campaigns and report on outcomes.
- Ensure end users complete mandatory cybersecurity awareness training and track compliance metrics.
- Provide appropriate phishing response actions, including analysis of spam/phishing emails, reporting, and taking corrective action.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including MFA, encryption, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and endpoint protection.
- Assist the Information Security Manager with cybersecurity projects and new security implementations or improvements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of policies, procedures, risk assessments, and incident reports.
- Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including core security controls, user administration, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user access management to ensure secure and reliable operations.
- Administer endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune for device provisioning, patch management, software deployment, and security policy enforcement.
- Support identity and access management by configuring Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, MFA, and SSO integrations while ensuring compliance with IT security policies.
- Deliver the IT security components of the user onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring secure access provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Helpdesk teams to strengthen cybersecurity operations and overall IT resilience.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to cybersecurity posture and compliance.
- This is a full-time, 100% on-site role that requires frequent travel to Riverside locations within the GTA.
- This role sometimes involves working outside regular hours for projects, routine system updates, or IT emergencies.

Reporting Relationships
- This position reports to the Information Security Manager.
- This position does not have direct reports.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of combined experience across IT support, systems administration, and cybersecurity.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in security operations, security administration, or incident response.
- Experience working in a Microsoft-centric environment, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server, and identity/access management.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes and vulnerability management principles.
- Experience implementing security controls such as MFA, DLP, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- CompTIA Security+ certification strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Security Certification strongly preferred.
- TCM Security Certification is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Position Summary / Objective
The Director, eCommerce & Omnichannel is the enterprise leader responsible for defining and scaling Riverside’s digital commerce strategy, with a primary focus on accelerating profitable growth for the MadeGood brand across Amazon, omnichannel retailers, and emerging on-demand platforms.
This role is accountable for the performance of the global eCommerce business, including strategy, customer development, channel profitability, and successful channel activation. As eCommerce becomes an increasingly critical driver of household penetration and brand discovery, this leader will shape how Riverside acquires, converts, and retains consumers in digital environments while ensuring strong alignment with total US commercial strategy.
The Director will operate at both a strategic and system-building level, establishing the long-term roadmap for digital commerce, building scalable capabilities, and ensuring disciplined investment across platforms. This individual will lead cross-functional alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Insights to deliver best-in-class digital execution and sustainable, profitable growth.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role on the US Commercial Leadership Team, with influence on both near-term performance and long-term channel evolution. The role currently manages a small team and is expected to define and build the future eCommerce organization as the business scales.
Primary Responsibilities
eCommerce Strategy & Business Ownership
- Define and lead Riverside’s multi-year eCommerce and omnichannel growth strategy, aligned to broader US commercial priorities.
- Own the eCommerce P&L, including revenue, trade, and profitability across platforms. Work alongside the Retail Media team to successfully deploy channel-specific media.
- Establish clear investment guardrails and decision frameworks to balance growth, margin, and brand equity.
- Identify and unlock new sources of growth, including new platforms, formats, and consumer acquisition strategies.
Customer & Platform Leadership
- Lead strategic relationships with key digital customers (Amazon, Walmart.com, Instacart, Thrive, and emerging platforms).
- Own joint business planning and long-term partnership development with top eCommerce accounts.
- Define platform-specific strategies across assortment, pricing, promotion, and content to maximize performance and incrementality.
- Ensure alignment between pure-play and omnichannel retailers to drive a cohesive consumer experience.
Digital Demand Generation
- Guide the eCommerce media strategy, including investment allocation, performance measurement, and ROI optimization.
- Partner with Marketing to integrate retail media into broader brand-building efforts.
- Develop frameworks to drive efficient new-to-brand household acquisition and lifetime value.
- Continuously evolve Riverside’s approach to search, content, and conversion to maintain a best-in-class digital shelf.
Performance Management & Optimization
- Establish KPIs and performance management systems across all eCommerce platforms.
- Leverage analytics tools (Profitero, retailer data, etc.) to drive actionable insights and continuous improvement.
- Lead optimization across availability, pricing, search visibility, ratings & reviews, and conversion.
- Ensure disciplined forecasting and demand planning in partnership with Finance and Supply Chain.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Integration
- Serve as the organization’s eCommerce subject matter expert and thought leader.
- Drive integration of eCommerce into brand planning, innovation, and shopper marketing strategies.
- Partner with Innovation teams to develop eCommerce-first product, pack, and assortment strategies.
- Influence enterprise decision-making related to pricing, promotion, and channel strategy.
- Examine and diagnose cost-to-serve efficiencies to drive channel profitability.
Capability & Team Building
- Build and lead a high-performing eCommerce team as the channel scales.
- Define organizational structure, roles, and capabilities required for long-term success.
- Embed omnichannel thinking into commercial processes, KPIs, and ways of working across the organization.

Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in CPG, with significant leadership in eCommerce and omnichannel.

- Deep experience with Amazon and Walmart.com; familiarity with Instacart, Thrive, and emerging platforms.

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Analyst – AR/AP to support our core accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Corporate Credit Card Reconciliation, while also contributing to reporting and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will possess solid technical accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP, and a high degree of accuracy, adaptability, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process and review vendor invoices in Concur and SAP in compliance with internal policies.
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
- Ensure compliance with credit card policies and resolve discrepancies with cardholders.
- Process employee expense reimbursements and verify adherence to company guidelines.
- Prepare journal entries, Ensure timely and accurate vendor reconciliations, and support audit requirements.
- Recommend improvements to AP and credit card processes to strengthen internal controls
Accounts Receivable
- Accurately post customer payments (checks, ACH, wire) to correct accounts/invoices.
- Organize and review remittance details and backup documents.
- Reconcile AR ledgers to ensure proper application of payments and resolve variances.
- Respond to customer inquiries, send account statements, and manage overdue notices.
- Professionally resolve billing disputes or payment discrepancies.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Assist in generating financial and management reports.
- Collaborate closely with AP/AR teams and internal departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in AP, AR, or finance-related roles strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working with SAP and Concur is a must.

Position Summary:
The Senior Payroll Manager is responsible for leading payroll and benefits delivery at Riverside Natural Foods across Canada and the US. This role ensures payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable regulations for a diverse employee population.
The role partners closely with People & Values, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support payroll operations, benefits and pension administration, and ongoing compliance. The Senior Payroll Manager is expected to demonstrate strong leadership, sound judgment, and accountability while strengthening payroll controls and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for a multi-national workforce, including hourly, salaried, full-time, and part-time employees
- Ensure compliance with all provincial, state, federal, and local payroll legislation and regulatory requirements
- Manage payroll calendars, reconciliations, and year-end activities, including T4s, T4As, RL-1s, and US equivalents
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, discrepancies, and employee inquiries
- Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and data integrity
- Maintain and continuously improve payroll processes, documentation, and internal controls
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships internally to support business needs and ensure seamless payroll delivery
- Demonstrate leadership by providing clear direction, exercising sound judgment, and driving accountability across payroll processes and stakeholders
- Act as the main point of contact with the external payroll provider, ensuring accurate data exchange, compliance, and issue resolution
- Support the administration and ongoing improvement of benefits and pension programs
- Leverage payroll systems and tools, including SAP integration, to support efficient and reliable payroll operations
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits, preferably in a multi-national environment
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian and US payroll requirements
- PCP, CPM, or equivalent designation from the National Payroll Institute preferred
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems; experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, solution-oriented approach
- Proven ability to lead through influence, communicate clearly, and partner effectively across functions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities

Position Summary/Objective:
The position ensures successful continues improvement of Riverside’s Food Safety and Quality Assurance System by providing leadership through strong knowledge and experience of managing food safety and quality incidents, conducting root cause analysis, risk assessment, CAPA program and meeting the food safety and quality targets. You will be responsible for initiatives to enhance the food safety and quality performance of products and processes within Riverside Natural Food Ltd. Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside Natural Food’s core values
- Manage (lead investigations, root cause analysis -RCA, collect or identify data that needs to be collected, etc.) food safety and Quality Incidents including consumer and customer complaints, product holds, internal non-conformances to ensure product safety and quality
- Take the OWNERSHIP on leading investigation and root cause analysis to identify possible issues affecting food safety and quality of the products and processes, place necessary products on hold in SAP systems
- Review and analyze data from food safety records and quality verification checks to identify trends and areas for improvement and implement corrective action
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying opportunities for food safety and quality improvement by addressing root cause of issues, writing incident reports, and ensuring comprehensive action plans are implemented and completed to prevent future issues
- TEAMWORK and work closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Engineering, Facility, R&D and other relevant departments to implement and sustain food safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure consistent execution of current Food Safety and Quality Management Programs, internal procedures and compliance with BRC requirements
- Establish, develop, implement and monitor food safety and quality improvement strategies, plans and KPIs aligned with organizational goals. Communicate and report improvement, progress and results to stakeholders to measure success
- Use statistical methods, data analysis and sampling plans to track and monitor product and process performances and capabilities affecting safety and quality and reduce defects and minimize inconsistencies. Identify upper and lower specifications limits to build run charts to monitor CTQs and CTPs. Understand the process to create and implement control charts for existing and new products working with R&D and production team.
- Develop, update, and implement improvement policies and procedures and Food safety and quality plan
- Identify training opportunities, train the trainer and ensure employees are trained in food safety and quality improvement methodologies and tools such as root cause and hazard analysis, risk assessment, corrective and preventive action development.

- Develop innovative solutions to food safety and quality related issues and provide improvement reports on the status improvement projects to senior leadership.

Education & Qualifications:
- or Diploma in Engineering, Food Science and technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, pharmaceutical and other related disciplines
- A minimum of 5 years of FSQA experience in food manufacturing and relevant food safety and quality programs in similar roles (Quality improvement, continues improvement, process improvement).
- Experience with highly automated food manufacturing lines for continues and batch processes.
- Strong understanding of hazards analysis, HACCP, GMPs, FM prevention, microbiology, pest control and other food safety related programs
- A minimum Lean Six Sigma- Green belt certification and experience in QI (quality improvement) focused environment. Demonstrated application on actual projects on production sites.
- Strong understanding of statistics, product sampling standards/programs and SPC and experience in SPC technologies such as Minitab
- Understanding and knowledge of commercialization processes, food safety and quality attributes and its impact
- Experience in investigation process, root cause analysis methodologies and corrective action plans (CAPA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technical Operator to join our food production team. In this role, you will operate, maintain and troubleshooting production machinery and equipment in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, minimizing downtime, and performing basic maintenance while minimizing downtime and supporting continuous improvement on the production line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor automated or semi-automated production machinery according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform equipment set-up, calibration and changeovers
- Perform in-process quality checks to ensure product meets specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make minor mechanical adjustments or repairs as needed and escalate major issues to the maintenance team.
- Perform basic maintenance checks and preventative tasks to avoid unplanned downtime.
- Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure equipment functionality
- Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain machine performance and workplace safety.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical/vocational training or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical manuals and troubleshoot machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift above 20kg (e.g.) as required.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen processes is an asset.

- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Participate in health and safety meetings, audits, or training as required.
- Participate in daily shift handovers and team briefings to communicate issues or updates.
- Train or mentor new/existing operators or temporary staff on equipment functionality and troubleshooting techniques.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation when problems occur.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical/vocational training or equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical manuals and troubleshoot machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physically fit; able to stand for long periods and lift materials as required.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen processes is an asset.
