We are searching for a Customer Success Manager who has a passion for working with federal agency customers.
You will need to be able to easily shift between skill sets in response to account needs. In a single day you may need to wear various hats such as Program Manager, Onboarding Specialist, Digital Transformation Guide, and Delivery Coordinator, all while leveraging an empathetic and outcomes-focused approach.
You will work across multiple accounts at once. You’ll collaborate closely with the delivery teams, which are typically composed of a Product Manager, User-Centered Designer, and Platform and/or Software Engineers, as well as the client stakeholders at multiple levels.
For new contracts, you will work with Practice Leadership and Recruiting to ensure the right staff is in place at the right time with the right skill sets. You will establish and guide the delivery team members through a streamlined account onboarding process and share any known context about the work they are about to engage in. You’ll work with key customer stakeholders including contract officers to ensure we are aligned on goals, identify and mitigate risks, establish metrics, have the right agile practices in place, and establish Deliverable and Invoicing submission processes.
As accounts mature, you’ll measure the health of the team and the account on a regular basis and drive remediation plans as needed. You will work with the delivery team to ensure the customer realizes the value being delivered in line with their desired impacts. Finally, with your business and ownership mentality, you’ll drive the account strategy that results in referenceable customers and expansion opportunities.

About SkillBridge Internship Program: The Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge internship program is for military service members transitioning from federal service to commercial industry only. For DoD SkillBridge participants, we offer a 40 hr/wk apprenticeship where you will work alongside one of our professionals on product or in business operations.

As a Growth Team SkillBridge Intern, you are someone who enjoys diving into data-driven work to identify new market opportunities. You’ll be directly involved in developing strategies to drive Rise8’s business expansion, focusing on market research, lead generation, and supporting sales efforts. You’ll be working alongside our Growth Managers and cross-functional teams to help manage the customer journey from initial contact to successful sales closure. You’re curious, proactive, and passionate about solving problems with innovative solutions.
The Growth Team plays a crucial role in helping Rise8 expand its presence in the government and private sectors. As a SkillBridge intern, you’ll gain exposure to federal procurement, client engagement strategies, and the proposal development process. You’ll support the end-to-end sales process, from initial lead generation to proposal submission and follow-up.

Location: Remote
Market Research: Assist with gathering intelligence on federal procurement opportunities (e.g., SAM.gov, GSA MAS) to identify potential leads and opportunities for Rise8.
Lead Generation and Qualification: Support the Growth Team in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and maintaining CRM data using tools like HubSpot.
Proposal Assistance: Help with proposal management, contributing to content creation, document editing, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
Client Engagement: Assist with organizing customer meetings, preparing presentations, and understanding client needs to tailor Rise8’s offerings.
Sales and Marketing Alignment: Work closely with marketing to create content and marketing materials for client outreach, helping to drive inbound leads.
Support Growth Strategy: Contribute to strategies for business development, market outreach, and growth initiatives, including developing case studies and customer success stories.
Currently on active duty and eligible for SkillBridge.
A growth mindset with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Interest in business development, sales, and marketing with a focus on government contracts and procurement processes.
