We are looking for a Cloud Support Engineer who thrives on helping customers get the most out of Pulumi — supporting teams as they adopt, scale, and evolve their infrastructure-as-code practice using real programming languages, automation, and developer-first workflows.
We are seeking a technical and empathetic Cloud Support Engineer to join our growing customer operations team at Pulumi. As a founding member of our support team, you will play a crucial role in defining the function while providing technical assistance and support to our ever-growing customer base. In This Role You Will:
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers via various communication channels (e.g., email, chat, community) regarding IaC best practices and DevOps concepts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to infrastructure deployments, configuration management, automation, and other infrastructure-as-code topics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and sales to identify and resolve complex technical and business issues.
- Actively contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including FAQs, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in IaC, DevOps, cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, K8s) and related technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support when necessary.
We’re Looking For Someone With:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and code or scripting.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools, such as Pulumi, Terraform, Cloudformation and CDK.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud service providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes.
- Comfortable authoring readable maintainable code in one or more of the following; Python, TypeScript, GO, or Java.
- Experience using AI-powered support tools and assistants (e.g., LLM-driven troubleshooting tools, AI agents, or copilots) to accelerate customer issue resolution, improve diagnostic accuracy, and enhance knowledge base contributions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Certification(s) in relevant technologies, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer support.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Hiring Range (Spain): £60,000 to £111,000

- Teach the community how to configure and prompt AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline, and similar) so they consistently produce reliable, idiomatic, production-grade Pulumi code, including patterns for context engineering, MCP-based tool wiring, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Develop reference architectures and demos for AI/ML workloads on Pulumi: training clusters, inference platforms, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and multi-cloud foundation-model portability across AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, and Google Vertex AI.
- Create demos to be used in talks, blogs, social media, and community opportunities.
- Foster Pulumi community virtually and at regional meetups, including AI-focused and platform-engineering communities.

We're Looking For Someone With:
- 3+ years in a software development environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated experience delivering technical presentations and live demos that help developers understand and adopt new tools
- Ability to author assets such as blog articles, tutorials, and workshops.

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Community Engineering, and Customer Success - embed in their workflows, understand their problems, and ship solutions that stick
- Analyze high-performing GTM behaviors and translate them into scalable systems—operationalizing best practices so they become the standard across the team.
- Build activation tooling that gets new users realize value faster - onboarding sequences, trial health scoring, and personalized nudges based on product usage

We’re Looking For Someone With:
- You've shipped high-quality production software - apps, APIs, or automations - that real users depend on, and you hold yourself to a high bar on code quality
- You have 2+ years of full-stack or backend development experience
- You're fluent with AI-assisted development - Claude Code is a core part of your workflow, not a novelty - and you're comfortable working with LLMs and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) to build practical, production-grade tools
- You understand GTM systems - you know what Salesforce is for, why lead routing matters, and how data flows between marketing and sales
- You have experience with automation and integration tooling (n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar)
- You can work across the stack: write a Python script, wire up an API, build a lightweight front end, and deploy it
- You take ownership of outcomes - you don't wait to be told what to build next, you identify the problem, ship the solution, and measure whether it worked
- You communicate well with non-technical stakeholders - you can translate a GTM problem into a systems solution and explain your work clearly

In This Job You Will:
- Own and close complex enterprise deals to consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings goals.
- Proactively build and manage a robust pipeline by proactively engaging target accounts and converting high-quality inbound opportunities.
- Lead executive-level conversations with CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders, uncovering critical initiatives and aligning our solutions to their strategic priorities.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Have:
- 6+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience, consistently exceeding targets in competitive, fast-paced markets.
- Proven ability to lead complex sales cycles, build business champions, and drive executive-level engagement.
- Expertise in articulating the business value of complex technology solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC, Challenger, SPIN) and a track record of disciplined, process-driven pipeline management.
- Experience selling SaaS, infrastructure software, DevOps, or open source technologies.
- Proven ability to establish credibility with both developers and executive leadership, driving alignment and buy-in across technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong time and resource management skills with a structured, strategic approach to qualifying and closing opportunities.

Compensation:
- Base Salary Hiring Range: $90,000 - $150,000 (OTE Range: $180,000 - $300,000)

- Sales Account Executive roles are also eligible for uncapped incentive pay, which can exceed 100% of the offered On Target Earnings (OTE) depending on quota attainment.

Responsibilities
- Build the planning and execution systems that let Neo safely perform multi-step infrastructure operations across AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and more
- Design tool interfaces that give the agent semantic understanding of cloud resources and access to engineering workflows
- Develop the context systems that help Neo understand each customer's infrastructure patterns and usage
- Create the feedback loops and self-correction mechanisms that make autonomous operation reliable
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance across Neo's capability areas: migrations, compliance, cost optimization, diagnostics, and more
- Work on the web interface where Neo operates as a "virtual teammate"—task assignment, progress visibility, approval workflows
- Integrate Neo's capabilities into Pulumi's MCP Server for agent-to-agent workflows
- Collaborate with platform teams to deeply integrate agent capabilities into the CLI, SDKs, and Pulumi Cloud
You may be a good fit if you:
- Are genuinely excited about agentic AI—systems that plan, act, and adapt in the real world, not just generate text
- Have built production systems using LLMs, including experience with tool use, function calling, and multi-step orchestration

In This Role You Will:
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate the value, visions, and strategy of Pulumi to our customers.
- Own the technical pre-sales engagement including, technical discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts and ensuring the technical win.
- Technically close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skills and credibility.
- Serve as a technical partner to cloud and platform engineering teams, guiding architectural decisions and best practices.
- Deliver product and technical presentations to potential clients at customer meetings and Pulumi events.
- Be a customer advocate, closing the loop between customers, product teams and engineering, championing the product to the customer and bringing their requirements to the roadmap.

We’re Looking For Someone With:
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting).
- Proficiency with one or more modern programming languages such as Go, Python, TypeScript, C# or Java.
- Deep familiarity with core cloud-based infrastructure, application modernization, Open Source technologies, and public and/or private cloud platforms.
- Hands on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (eg. Pulumi, Terraform, AWS CDK).
- Demonstrated experience in software development and related best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage technical customer engagements, including scoping, expectation setting, and successful delivery.
- Experience in solution selling methodologies (e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger Sales) and how they apply to the technical sales cycle.
- Experience building effective relationships with both technical stakeholders (developers, architects) and business leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive outcomes.
