The role
We are looking for a high-ownership Fraud Analyst to step into a pivotal role within Prolific’s world class Integrity Team. This isn't just a support role; you are the "Human-in-the-Loop" who bridges the gap between our complex fraud models and the real-world experience of our researchers and participants.
You’ll be the source of truth for our "golden sets," the expert voice in our Slack channels, and the person who turns manual investigations into product improvements. We need someone who is data-curious, possesses an investigator’s mindset, and is ready to take accountability for the quality of our participant pool.
What you’ll bring to the role

This role is a hands on Fraud analyst role for a stand out candidate with strong critical thinking, AI- and data-literacy, and a huge amount of drive.
- Extreme Ownership: You’re the type of person who sees a "huge hole" and immediately starts filling it. You don't wait for a ticket to tell you something is wrong; you dive in and find the root cause.
- The "Investigator" Mindset: You enjoy the "whodunnit" aspect of fraud. You can spot patterns, cross-reference multiple data points, and remain objective when a participant claims the system made a mistake.
- Aspiring Data Literacy: You don’t need to be a Data Scientist, but you should have a hunger to become data-literate. You’re comfortable (or willing to learn) diving into databases and collaborating with technical teams to get the answers you need.
- Practical Communication: You can take a complex technical ban and explain the "why" to a researcher or support agent in a way that is clear, firm, and helpful.
- Adaptability: The fraud landscape changes every week (especially with LLMs and bots). You’re excited by the idea of a role that evolves and offers room to grow into more technical or strategic areas as you settle in.
- Systems Thinking: You understand that a marketplace is an ecosystem. You have the ability to foresee how tightening a rule on the participant side might accidentally impact the researcher experience, or how an engineering change might shift fraud to a different part of the product.

- Familiarity with AI training data workflows, labeling platforms, or crowdsourcing tools is a strong advantage.
What you’ll be doing in the role
- Crossfunctional Problem Solving: You’ll work with Data Science, Product, Engineering, Support, and Human Data teams every day.
- Deep-Dive Investigations: You’ll review data quality reports from researchers, cross-referencing participant IDs against our internal data to validate fraud claims. You’ll recommend a response to the researcher and ensure that bad actors are restricted based on your findings.
- Second-Line Expert Support: You’ll act as the escalation point for our Support team. You’ll handle the tricky edge cases, ban appeals, and "system-says-no" moments where human judgment is needed to override or validate the algorithm.
- Sonar Audits & Prevalence Tracking: You will lead our "Sonar" reviews - a regular audit of our participant network. Your work here directly generates our "bad actor prevalence" and "fraudulent submission" metrics, which are the primary KPIs for how we track our success against fraud. The other side of the coin - you’ll audit our ban decisions to measure fairness and participant experience through overturn rates.
- Model Training & Feedback Loops: You’ll partner closely with Data Science to review "high risk" participants flagged by our fraud models. Your manual reviews will provide the vital "golden set" of data that allows us to tweak and improve our ML models.
- Operational Innovation: We don’t want you just to follow the process - we want you to break and fix it. You’ll be constantly looking for ways to automate your own tasks, suggest product features to the engineers, and make life easier for our Support team.
- Policy Design & Refinement: As you encounter edge cases and new fraud vectors, you won't just solve the immediate ticket. You will write, refine, and document the internal policies and standard operating procedures that govern how our platform defines "acceptable use."
- Balancing Friction vs. Growth: You will be a key voice in the room when Product launches new features. You'll advise on potential fraud loopholes and help strike the delicate balance between keeping bad actors out and keeping the onboarding experience seamless for good participants.

The role
As our new Product Manager at Prolific, you will take your place in Prolific's Product, Research, and Design Group.
- Impact: You will be the Product person responsible for the impact and outcomes of a team building out next gen tooling that enables frontier AI model developers to conduct cutting edge AI research. This is a career-defining moment to shape how some of the world’s biggest technology companies are building AI…no big deal! You'll report into the Product Lead for the Prolific for AI Product Group, and will work cross-functionally while accountable for a stream-aligned team.
- Experience: You'll bring experience building AI native systems, with particular experience building AI native UX. You’ll have had success taking complex human workflows and distilling them into highly adaptable technical systems and then scale access to those systems across multiple interaction surfaces - UI, APIs, CLIs and MPCs.
- Domain: The Data Collection Tooling feature set is a key technical driver of what Prolific does best, and therefore the time, energy and focus of this team are worth their weight in gold. It’s critical that the person in this role prioritises both intuitively and systematically and is a master at the elegant art of trade-offs.
- Responsibilities: You will be responsible for product managing a stream-aligned team of your own. This means you’ll be accountable for the outcomes and impact of that team. You’ll also be the key driver of interaction with your peer teams and be able to collaborate across domains of science, research, supply, sales and account services.
- Culture: Building on our Prolific Principles, we expect colleagues in the Product, Research, and Design Group to demonstrate reliability, grit, diplomacy, a bias for action, and a dogged focus on value – you'll be a champion of these behaviours yourself, and in the culture of your team. What you’ll be doing in the role
- You’ll be working within your team to build and launch the next generation of Prolific’s Data Collection Tooling product suite
- You’ll stay up to speed with the rapidly changing face of frontier AI research in order to ensure your product keeps up with our customers requirements.
- You’ll be responsible for the end to end product development lifecycle, from strategy to success metrics to roadmaps to delivery and iteration.
- You’ll be responsible for communicating your strategy to our executives, but also working through details with your team.
- You will be unblocking and simplifying complexity: colleagues will bring you problems, and emerge optimistic, with solutions.
- You'll partner productively with Product Design, User Research, Analytics, and Engineering to find ways to deliver products in a test-learn-iterate fashion.
What you’ll bring to the role
- An extensive and varied track record working embedded in technology teams alongside engineers and designers.
- B2B product experience, ideally focused on large enterprises, where you’ve had to work with, and manage, multiple internal stakeholders to deliver value and scale your product’s impact.
- Competence or expertise in most or all of the industry's prevailing Product tools, models, and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience of Agile frameworks, Continuous Discovery, CI/CD, JTBD frameworks, thin or vertical slicing, self-organizing teams, Team Topologies, advocacy of 'thinking in bets,' test-learn-iterate loops, and Growth loops / Growth hacking.
- Expertise in experimenting with the latest AI led technologies in the Product Manager’s tool box, you’re expected to experiment with technology and build POCs yourself.
- Strong data literacy and true data-driven decision-making.
- A storyteller's flair, a model teamplayer, belief in 'strong opinions weakly held', personal accountability, and a relentless can-do attitude.

The Role
As the Product Design Lead in the Prolific for Participants Group, you will lead the design vision, strategy, and execution across three cross-functional teams. You’ll oversee participant experiences and authenticity within both our global marketplace and our dedicated specialist pool, as well as the internal services powering our participant models.
In addition to this leadership responsibility, you will be the hands-on designer responsible for the outcomes of a core participant domain, reporting to the VP of Product and collaborating with a world-class team of product engineers, AI researchers, and data scientists – as well as product managers and designers across Prolific.
You bring a background in crafting user-psychology-informed experiences for large-scale audiences and a natural ability to synthesize complex systems into elegant and transparent solutions. Thriving in ambiguity and juggling multiple initiatives, you move at a rapid pace while galvanizing exceptional performance around you. Ultimately, your success will be defined by your conceptual clarity, peer-to-peer bridge-building, and your consistent ability to bring the participant “into the room
Our Product, User Research, and Design Team indexes heavily on drive, commercial acumen, and pragmatism. Building on our Prolific Principles, we expect you to demonstrate reliability, grit, and bravery, and to model these traits within the team. You’ll be given a lot of trust and autonomy in return, as is always the case within Product at Prolific.
What you'll be doing
- You'll bring your rich and varied design career experience to bear to solve customer problems and create new moments of joy for our participants who use Prolific—both ‘pocket money’ academic research participants around the world and deeply skilled experts working on AI training and evaluation.
- You’ll build extensively for internal use cases and users, including in participant modeling platforms and tools for our Human Data Ops team.
- You’ll raise the bar in our Design Team, and co-own cross-functional areas like accessibility (we are WCAG 2.1 AA compliant) and our Design System with other design leaders.
- You will line-manage a group of 1-3 designers directly, and mentor others, coaching behaviours and skills, and modeling game-changing approaches by directly doing.
- You'll have user research and data analysis responsibilities
What you'll bring
- An extensive and varied track record of in-house product design work alongside product managers and engineers. (Pure agency experience is likely to be screened out.)
- Experience in either line-managing or acting as player/coach for other designers.
- Confidence working with AI prototyping tools. We use Figma Make.
- Competence or expertise in the industry's standard design tools, principles, and methodologies, and a basic to detailed understanding of how AI models work.

The Role: As part of our operational evolution we are looking for our first ever Senior Product Designer to be fully dedicated to building for our Research customers. You will take a ‘founder mindset’ to our heritage business, driving design and design-thinking for a broad-remit product team focused on academic and business research customers, many of them self-serving, but increasingly more of them institutional or enterprise users.
Responsibilities: You will be embedded in a team alongside engineers, product managers, and data scientists as well as very close operational and customer-facing colleagues. You’ll build and advocate for functional, delightful, and disruptive customer journeys that pack a lot of value. You’ll work experimentally and iteratively. You’ll conduct user research independently with the help of our consulting user researchers. You’ll be the person accountable for the product’s customer experience and satisfaction in your domain.

- Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with the product and engineering team to co-create design solutions and roll-out strategies.
- Inspire and influence: Tell the story of your design decisions with clarity and confidence, articulating the reasoning behind them across the whole Prolific team, helping elevate the role of design throughout Prolific and inspire others with your vision.
What you'll bring
You're comfortable with asynchronous and synchronous working that is fast-paced and constantly changing. You are a deep systems thinker who is curious about people's behaviour and passionate about how great design can improve user productivity and enjoyment. You understand product design principles and have long practical experience using them.
- Design tools, such as Figma.
- Experience with information architecture and mapping complex systems and business processes.
- Experience of interface design, and a deep understanding of good visual and interactive design in dynamic contexts.
- Comfort with product analytics and A/B or multivariate testing
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
