We’re looking for a skilled and hands-on Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d) to join one of the companies in the A11 ecosystem and take ownership of all accounting and financial operations—ranging from managing a growing finance team to delivering accurate reporting and driving financial decision-making in a fast-paced international environment.

As a Team Lead Accounting, you’ll play a key role in keeping the financial engine running smoothly, from preparing financial statements to managing accounts receivable and supporting internal stakeholders on finance topics.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead and manage the core accounting team of 2 professionals
• Manage day-to-day (preparatory) bookkeeping
• Support in the preparation of monthly-, quarterly- and annual financial statements as well as internal reporting according to HGB and IFRS
• Prepare and analyze monthly expenses related to material and logistic costs, identifying variances and ensuring accuracy in reporting
• Collaborate with and support other internal departments and the board of management on tax and financial accounting issues and projects
• Lead accounts receivable processes, including responding to external inquiries and managing the dunning process to ensure timely collections
• Liaise with our external accountancy firm
• Support on finance initiatives to support and the management in an international environment

Your Profile: 

• Relevant experience in an audit firm (Big Four or mid-tier a plus) and / or experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or similar field  
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a focus on finance/accounting or comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge of IFRS as well as HGB
• Advanced Excel skills
• You have strong communication skills and are fluent in German and English
• You have strong organizational skills and keep a cool head even in stressful situations
• You have familiarity and comfort with financial, accounting and business systems software, especially, DATEV, DUO (DATEV Unternehmen Online); experience with Expense management solutions as well as Salesforce is a plus

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Accountant / CMA (m/f/d) who takes full ownership of our accounting backbone in Germany while helping us build a highly automated, AI-driven finance function.

As a Financial Accountant / CMA, you’ll work closely with leadership, external accountants, and operators across the company to turn finance into a real leverage function. This is not a traditional accounting role. You will operate at the intersection of accounting, systems, and automation. Your goal is not just to keep the books clean, but to systematically eliminate manual work and build a finance setup that scales with the business.

In this role, you’ll:

• Own day-to-day preparatory bookkeeping and ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness of all financial data
• Take full responsibility for general ledger reconciliations, including accruals, fixed assets, and AR/AP positions
• Support and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process under HGB
• Prepare internal financial reporting and ensure consistency across all finance outputs
• Act as the key interface to our external accounting firm and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and leadership on accounting, tax, and finance-related topics
• Identify inefficiencies in current processes and actively redesign workflows
• Drive automation across accounting processes - from data capture to reconciliation and reporting
• Leverage AI tools to reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and accelerate closing cycles

The AI-first finance mandate - Your role is not to scale work , it is to eliminate it.
You will:

• Use AI and modern tooling as your “junior team” to handle repetitive tasks
• Build workflows where data flows automatically from source to reporting
• Reduce dependency on manual bookings, reconciliations, and Excel-based processes
• Continuously question why something is manual and replace it with scalable solutions
• Help define how a lean, high-output finance function operates at scale

Your Profile: 

• You bring solid experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
• You have completed commercial training or a degree with a focus on accounting or finance
• Ideally, you hold a certification such as Bilanzbuchhalter or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or a comparable qualification
• You have strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB)
• You are highly confident in Excel and comfortable working with structured data
• You are curious about automation and motivated to work with AI tools in your daily workflows
• You are fluent in German and English and communicate clearly across functions
• You work in a structured, reliable way and keep control even under pressure
• You are comfortable working with financial systems such as DATEV and DATEV Unternehmen Online (DUO); experience with expense tools and Salesforce is a plus
• You are hands-on, pragmatic, and take ownership instead of waiting for instructions

Du unterstützt unser Finance-Team im operativen Tagesgeschäft und bei der strategischen Weiterentwicklung unserer Prozesse. Dabei arbeitest du eng mit verschiedenen Teams und externen Partnern zusammen und übernimmst ab Tag eins Verantwortung in den Bereichen Compliance, Treasury und Datenmanagement innerhalb der VC-Welt.

• Compliance & KYC: Durchführung von KYC-Prüfungen sowie Pflege und Analyse von Stammdaten (Investoren & Portfoliounternehmen)

We’re looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (m/f/d) to own the financial architecture of the company and be a core member of the executive leadership team. Your mandate is to design, operate, and continuously evolve a financial system that enables scale, resilience, and capital efficiency in a complex, capital-intensive environment. As the company's first CFO, you'll be part of an exciting growth period in the A11 Ecosystem. The company is backed by top-tier investors as well as global institutional banking partners, having recently closed its $40m series B - Atomico, Project A, and Invent Capital with institutional backing from Commerzbank and KfW.

This is a system-building CFO position with active M&A and financing responsibilities —not a reporting role. The position is on-site in Berlin.

In this role, you’ll:

Financial Architecture & Operating System

• Own the end-to-end financial operating system, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital management
• Translate operational reality into accurate, decision-ready financial insight
• Design financial structures that scale with transaction volume, geography, and organizational complexity

Capital Structure, Financing & M&A

• Own and evolve the company's capital structure across growth phases
• Design a scalable financing model supporting organic growth and selective M&A, combining venture/growth equity, senior and subordinated debt, and working capital instruments
• Partner with the CEO on M&A strategy, including target evaluation, valuation, structuring, and deal economics
• Ensure acquisitions strengthen the platform and integrate cleanly into financial and technological systems

Financing as a System

• Ensure financing and capital deployment are embedded into the technology platform
• Work with product and technology leadership to integrate financing and acquisition logic into pricing, quoting, order flows, risk assessment, and working capital allocation
• Build architecture that scales automatically with transaction volume

Accounting, Controls & Governance

• Own statutory accounting, audits, and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• Ensure audit-ready, institutional-grade financials
• Design scalable internal controls that preserve operational speed
• Establish governance structures supporting fast decision-making

Financial Modeling & Strategic Support

• Own and continuously improve financial models, including operating plans, scenario and stress cases, and acquisition/integration models
• Support pricing, market expansion, partnerships, and M&A evaluations
• Act as strategic sparring partner to CEO and leadership team

Finance Organization & Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performance finance organization (Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Risk)
• Grow and support the development of the existing team of 3 (one Head of Accounting, one Head of Finance and 2 accountants, supported by external accounting, top-tier tax, and legal advisers
• Hire, develop, and retain top-tier talent capable of supporting scale and M&A activity

Your Profile: 

• Strong background in accounting firms (transaction services preferred), investment banking, or private equity (growth equity, infrastructure, industrials preferred)
• Hands-on experience in company building or scale-ups with exposure to acquisitions
• Proven track record across equity, debt, and M&A transactions
• Demonstrated ability to design and evolve capital structures
• Deep understanding of accounting, controls, and risk frameworks. Excellent financial modeling skills
• Experience in working-capital-intensive or transaction-heavy businesses is a strong plus
• Language & Market Fit Background from Germany, France, or the UK
• Fluent in German or French AND English at native or near-native level
• Comfortable operating across cultures and jurisdictions
• Thinks in systems, not spreadsheets
• An operator who wants proximity to the business and is comfortable with ambiguity
• Combines strong conviction with intellectual honesty
